I often go back to watching this movie every now and then because I really do like it. It’s not Oscar material for sure, but it’s good and enjoyable and almost anything that Martin Lawrence is in, is great. He’s funny and yet in this, you can see he’s got a more serious side too. I do agree with some other reviewers that it is a semi cross between Fatal Attraction and Boomerang. There are moments of comedy and moments of insanity with the female lead. Darnell meets Brandi outside his club, Chocolate City, and she looks like she has it all. Limo driver, fine crib in Malibu, good paying job, but that’s only the surface.

He can’t say he wasn’t warned. His mother (Della Reese) said near the start that there is a fine line between love and hate, and also Brandi (Lynn Whitfield) told Darnell that it wouldn’t be a good thing if she were hurt and she also told him in bed for their first time, that she’d killed her husband because he’d been abusive. He should have heard warning bells then, but didn’t.

I love watching this; it’s funny in parts and also fun watching Brandi go off the deep end. I love the music throughout the movie and if you are a fan of Black cinema, then check it out. It’s an old favourite of mine and really enjoy it.

I thought this movie was a mix of Boomerang and Fatal Attraction. It had a nice cast (Martin Lawerence, Lynn Whitfield, Bobby Brown (small role, but he did his thing), Regina King). Ladies man gets caught up when he plays the wrong woman, and becomes a victim of her revenge. The movie is not super great, but it was a fun movie. There are parts that will make you laugh.

This is definitely a collection worth having. The information is presented in a clear manner and well narrated. A must have for all Mafia buffs.

This is a terrific DVD to have and watch if you would like to be informative on the Mafia’s history. This DVd set will explain everything about movies such as The Godfather that might be confusing, as well as Mafia life in general. Buy this to learn more, but if you are uninterested in the Mafia, it probably isn’t such a good idea to get.

I’m a kid again as I view the 5th season of Daniel Boone from the 1960’s. I worship the special features and Liberation has done a fabulous job restoring the shows! If you want a satisfactory record (though not historically moral) with solid family values introduce yourself and your family to Daniel Boone – it’s timeless!

Daniel Boone season 5 is ample but no Mingo and the begining has a different soundtrack not as safe as the earlier seasons, but other wise it’s huge dvd place 7 discs

I thought this movie was good although I agree that Kimberly was missed. I too was disappointed.. But the new girl (Sara) did alright–> big shoes to fill don’t you think? As far as Debbie goes she could get as much screen time as she wants.. She obviously did not want anymore than what she had. Remember she is really up in age now.. I know I am 50.. I have watched her movies since I was a little girl.. I very much missed her too in this movie.. I was more disappointed that “Sophie” did not a part in this but I was glad “Dillon” did.. All in all I liked it.. I hope to see more of Halloweentown with Young Sophie…??

I and my daughter are a huge fan of the “Halloweentown” movies. We were both disappointed about the fact that Kimberly J. Brown didn’t reprise her role as Marnie Piper. Sara Paxton is okay, but she had some big shoes to fill in my opinion since Kimberley did such a great job in the previous 3 movies. If you have seen the first 3 and not this one, I would advise you to check it out on Disney channel first before buying it.

With the 12th DVD state, things originate to heat up. The chronicle arc leading to the 1897 anecdote is underway, but in the meantime, Barnabas takes a short detour to 1795 to try to achieve Victoria from the hangman. A lot of the re-telling is the same script as earlier in the series, however, the production values are Powerful better. The sets are dimly lit with candles lending flavor to what we have seen before. Jonathan Frid is allowed to stretch his performance and the few episodes relieve in time are classic. Even with a substitute Victoria, the shows are superb. Thayer David is a personal accepted as Ben Stokes.

Also, David Henesy is surprisingly improper, being controlled by the ghost of Quentin. Can’t wait for the next spot!

Yes they are corney, yes they have some really awful acting (along with some estimable stuff), but who cares? Its Sad Shadows. The point to we broken-down to race home from school to gape every afternoon. For some of us, it was quite a urge. Maybe if our kids today did the same running, they wouldn’t be so plump and glued to their video games. There is Barnabus, the vampire with a guilt complex. Quentin, the werewolf who was and is scarrier than Jack Nicholson having a unpleasant hair day. Sister Sarah as a 8 year archaic ghost stuck in a void between life and death. Then you have the abnormal family members (the above mentioned ones were the normal ones), whose various characters lend a edifying chuckle as props descend around them. They frequently flub their lines and are often seen reading directly from the teleprompter. Doors would be heard slamming in the background and the child actors frequently forgot their lines alltogether. Sometimes I wonder about the sobriety of some of the camera operators succor then. But what the heck, it panicked the beejeebers out of us as kids. The best portion, is, it’s alot better than 90% of the crap they have on today (i.e. reality shows), and given how many episodes there are, you can never accelerate out of something different to see. Plus the best extra bonus, our kids abominate this stuff, and we can finally have some time alone to ourselves if front of our beloved boxes. I recommend starting at the beginning (vol 1) and only watching 2-3 episodes at a time. I only hope that MCI can one day secure the copies of the first year (pre-Barnabus) to complete the site. I also hope that one day, the movies House of Murky Shadows and Night of Sunless Shadows will be released on DVD (moral now they are only out on VHS) . Besides, there are over 40 episodes and special features per location. This is only about $1.00 per episode to absorb and relish forever (alike the eternal Barnabus) .

I remember this show was pretty good. I liked X-Men and, though some saw this as a rip off of that franchise, it still was something different. I kind of wished they’d made them natural mutants like in the Marvel universe. But then I suppose they wouldn’t have had thier super bad villians Genomex.

I was VERY excited to learn that this show was going to be released on dvd. That was until I found out they were releasing many dvds with a few episodes and a high price to each. That sucked. But now I just learned from tvshowsondvd.com that there was a boxed set coming out. Then I came here to Amazon and found it true! Yay! Only forty bucks for this set? THAT I can handle! As soon as I have some extra cash, this set will be mine!

Not the best sci-fi show out there. But it wasn’t the worst either. Sadly this show didn’t come back for a fourth year. Maybe some other station will pick it up. Look at the shows Sci-Fi Network has picked up and made into hits. While I’m not a completely dedicated fan to this series (I didn’t see every episode and, out of the three seasons I probably saw less than 10% of them) I still would like to see it continue.

My main point is this: If you are a fan of X-Men or Fantastic Four or Avengers or Teen Titans or Justice League (or any other story where there are super powered humans and things of the like) this show is for you.

Alluring , original larger than life characters.Aderenline pumping , heartstopping action. Intruiging mysteries intermingled with drama , light hearted bantering and romance. A complex gripping plot.Brilliantly choreographed fights. Fantasy and aci-fi rolled into one with the modern world as the backdrop this series is the very epitome of creativity and ingenuity.

I am astonished how people manage to watch the monotonous ‘reality t.v shows’ that are anything but real.How those shows claim the acclaim to fame I’ll never know.Some of it is so clearlt scripted that you have to wonder if the people who watch turn a blind eye on purpose.But I digress…

As I was saying , it is beyond me how shows like that can flourish when such a brilliant series gets almost no publicity or courage.This is actually the only show in television that can rival with the grand scope of farscape. Most people think of it as an X-men spin off , but don’t be fooled by the marvel stamp of approval.This is far superior to X-men in all forms and better than most sci-fi movies made today.Beacuse unlike them , it has a great storyline to go with its special affects.

There is shalimar , the fiery ‘feral’ whose mutancy involves the physical prowess and abilities of a feline.She can leap great distances.Twist and turn with acrobatic ease and is a polished martial artists.

Then there is smart Jesse , a molecular. He can control his state going from translucent to as hard as steel in mere seconds.He can walk through walls, render bullets harmless among many things.He also acts as the computer specialist for the group.

Then there is decieving, gentle Emma.A psyonic she can manipulate and influence peoples minds.(I especially like how the show takes this ‘over used’ power and uses it in new ways unlike anything charles xavier ever used).She can project images to make her appear to eb soemone else.Make mental blocks and sense through many realms.

And then there is cocky Brennan.An elemantal , he can control and wield lightning as well as being a very good martial artists .He can get past almost any security.Break into cars , and even instantly kill anyone who gets in his way.

Led by Adam kane, a brilliant scientist in their mountain fortress sanctuary, they fight against genomex.The creators who gave them there supernatural gifts, and made outcats of them and many others.Together they must help other mutants and stop Gbriel ashlocke.A mutant who has the powers of every type of mutant.

Give this amazings series a chance.It is as great as it sounds.

It is said that the role of Peter Venkman was originally written for John Belushi, but we’ll never know how he would have performed in the role. Fellow “Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Murray stepped into the role and ran away with the movie. Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd fit into the story like a glove in Ivan Reitman’s masterpiece, but Bill Murray steals his every scene – which means most of the movie – with a performance full of dead-pan, ironic, world-weary, been-there-done-that hilariousness.

He has a sarcastic remark for every occasion, and the audience is the only one in on the joke every time.

When prospective girlfriend Dana Barrett (played by Sigourney Weaver, who gets a plum opportunity to show off her comedic skills) gets possessed by an evil demon, she is transformed into a slinky seductress. Bill Murray has come over to her apartment and in his hilarious dead-pan manner lets the audience know that he recognizes all is not normal with Ms. Barrett. As hilarious and sarcastic as Venkman is, he’s at least a gentleman of sorts and doesn’t take advantage of the situation when the demon tries to seduce him.

“Do you want this body?” Sigourney-demon asks him.
He pauses for a perfect beat before replying:
“Is this a trick question?”

The special effects don’t look like the CGI visions that have been on screen for a couple of years (this was 1984) yet they’re part of the fun. Even so, the special effects serve the story rather than up-staging it, and when the movie was initially released I remember howling with the audience after the first special-effect ghost “attacks” Bill Murray and leaves him on the floor in a glistening mess.
“He SLIMED me!” Venkman yelled, and we laughed our heads off.

This disc is not dated by contemporary references – it’s just as hilarious today as it was in 1984, and it’ll probably be just as funny 100 years from now. The DVD comes with extras that add to the fun, and in the commentary tracks Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis show that “Ghostbusters” was an absolute highlight in all of their lives.

I have grown up with “Ghostbusters”, and was a fan of the cartoon series, the toys, and of course, the movies. I still am, and unfortunately, I wasn’t all that pleased with Criterion’s laserdisc release of the film. The picture contained a lot of noise, and the matte lines were so visible, that even director Ivan Reitman was upset about it. That’s not the case here. With the release of “Ghostbusters” on DVD, digitally remastered and crammed to the gills with extras, including a live video commentary with Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis that looks much like “Mystery Science Theater 3000″, this makes the purpose of the invention of a DVD player clear! This DVD is excellent! It has everything I hoped for! They(Columbia/Tristar) really outdid themselves with this DVD. It includes numerous documentaries(instead of the usual 1 or 2), production photos, sketch artist drawings, and deleted scenes. Commenting on the deleted scenes, one of them was very strange, in which Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray play street bums instead of Venkman and Stantz, with Bill Murray doing his “Caddyshack” riff. It’s amazing that the cameras rolled for it, but it’s there. The only thing missing was the inclusion of a scene that found it’s way into the Criterion laserdisc, which followed the three ghostbusters leaving the college and Venkman commenting on how “he’s gonna win the nobel prize”. Still, it also becomes intuitively obvious why those scenes were cut once you watch them. Anyway, if you have a DVD player and do not have this DVD, you are really missing out. It’s hard to think why anyone would not want to add the “Ghostbusters” DVD to their collection. If you don’t like it, your as dead as those ghosts running around.

As a Japanese living in the United Staes, I can say totally, that this film is amazing. There’re some critics says Tom Cruise’s acting and so on, however, this film sucessfully depicts the history of Japan, and people’s traditional lives and the end of samurai era.

This is a spectacular movie with sweeping sword actions and it is based on the true history events in japan, I’ve seen a lot of samurai movies(made in japan for japanese) but i can say this one is GREAT as the other movies, plus this is not usual hollywood movies that awfully depicts samurais and even Yakuzas and brush off the truth.

I can say, however, without Tom Cruise, this movie could have also been great as well. But i would guess that it is because of him, this movie gained more attention among people and so typical americans can get the idea of what samurai really is and what they really think.

so overall i gave this movie 5 stars. I plan to go watch it again.

This film has been compared (a lot) to Dances with Wolves due to the fact that they both share similar themes. A Civil War era soldier who finds himself thrown in the middle of a different culture and ends up embracing it and becoming part of it.

However, Edward Zwick’s film differs from the Kevin Costner Oscar winner in that the principal character, Lt. Nathan Algren (Cruise) is down on his luck, having become a drunken caricature of his former self, deeply regretful of his actions, who accepts a job as an instructor for an incipient Japanese army that needs to be prepared to fight against the Samurai.

As he arrives to Tokyo he starts training a useless bunch of would-be soldiers who are sent to fight even if they’re not ready for it. As a result, the newly formed army gets butchered by the battle experienced Samurai. During that battle, Algren fights bravely and kills one of the highest ranking warriors, getting the interest of the famed Katsumoto, the last great Samurai leader, who orders him captured and brought to his son’s village as a prisoner.

Once there, Algren’s life is changed forever as he gets to know the real lifestyle of the Samurai and their people. They turn out not to be the savages that the Japanese government makes them out to be. After spending winter with them, Algren “changes sides” and joins the Samurai in fighting the Emperor’s army.

The title of the movie tells the final outcome. The Samurai lose the battle. Progress triumphs over tradition. New over old. But Algren’s past demons are redeemed by his courageous actions helping the Samurai.

The true worth of this movie is its look. You can definetely see where the budget went (other than Cruise’s salary). A whole village was built and the attention to detail is astonishing. The costumes are simply amazing, especially the battle armors. The costume designer is Ngila Dickson, who also worked in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Also of notice are the battle scenes, which are breathtaking. Very violent, but not gratuitous, they serve the story very well.

As for the acting, Cruise does a fine job, and is slowly but consistently becoming a better actor (even if this particular performance was not nominated for an Academy Award), but the movie belongs to Ken Watanabe (who was indeed nominated) as Katsumoto. His presence demands attention. He is the center of every scene he’s in. Koyuki’s performance as Taka, Katsumoto’s sister and Algren’s love interest, should also be noticed.

You should also make certain that stains on the rug should be cleared as soon as they happen. On the basis of type of stains or spills, they are to be blotted or scraped. It can be blotted with help of dry clean towel by pressing from the outside towards the center. Repeat this process by folding the towel till the most of the moisture has been absorbed. If the milk has been scattered, then the area should be properly rinsed with the mild soap and water so that the residue doesn’t rot. Incase of greasy spills and sugar based drinks spills, careful cleansing and washing is also needed with proper cleaners.

You are also suggested to sprinkle mixture of 2 cups of cornmeal and one cup of Borax to neutralize the pet smell. Leave this mixture for about an hour before vacuuming.

Rugs do get messy eventually and there are many experts who can do the Rug Cleaning at your home only but it would cost you more. But with little care, rug cleaning can be done easily at home.
