Kipper has been a great love at our house since my 3 year old son was 18 months. The “Kipper- Imagine That” video does have one strange and rather freaky story in it- it starts with the characters finding a secret door that leads them off into darkness. Eventually, they end up a desert-like land where a scary dragon pops out of a crater at them! It scared the daylights out of my son, who insists on fastforwarding through that entire episode. The other stories are your typical gentle Kipper and friends.
My 22 month old son and I LOVE Kipper. The shorts included in this video showcase Kipper and his friends in all sorts of situations where they rely on their imaginations to have fun. It’s also longer than most kids’ videos–a full hour–and if you can wade through the seemingly endless promos for other videos at the beginning of the tape, you’ll fall in love with Kipper, just like we did.

For those of you new to all things Babylon 5, here is my run down of this set:
1. THE GATHERING – As the series pilot it is a decent effort. It’s best to see this one before watching Season One but it’s fine if you catch it anytime. In fact this one is worth viewing again after watching seasons 1-3 to catch A LOT of foreshadowing. You can’t realize the of traps JMS has set just in this pilot. I give this one 3.5/5.

2. IN THE BEGINNING – Holy crap! 5/5. By far the best effort of JMS and his crew, second only to Severed Dreams (episode in Season 3). Anyone can thoroughly enjoy this this one without ever seeing one episode of Babylon 5 (like my wife) there are some big spoilers. So do yourself a HUGE favor. Do not watch this movie until after you have completed Seasons 1 through 3. Also, this one features Chris Franke’s best score. This one alone is nearly worth the purchase price.
3. THIRDSPACE – I like this one more than many others might. It introduces a H.P. Lovecraft type of element to the Babylon 5 universe. Personally I really like this new wrinkle and wish that it received further exploration. Catch this one after about the 7 episode in Season 4. This one features a crazy (perhaps even ridiculous) battle scene and a girl fight at the end that is well worth seeing. 4/5.
4. RIVER OF SOULS – A story about the Soul Hunters (introduced early in Season One). Martin Sheen is in it (a bit of a miscast for some people). Watch this before the last episode of Season 5 (Sleeping In Light). I like Franke’s score alot. This one focuses more on some of the peripheral characters like Lochley and Zach which makes for a nice change IMHO. Tracy Scoggins in lingerie = yummy! Also, another series regular has a terrific performance at the climax that should not be missed. 3.5/5.
5. CALL TO ARMS – This is meant to serve as the transition to JMS’s next Babylon 5 series: CRUSADE. IMHO, Chen’s score is totaly out of place and is a distraction. The effects are not as good as the other films as well. On other hand, there are some new and interesting characters (many which become part of the Crusade series) introduced that still make this one worth watching. Peter Woodward and Tony Todd really shine in this one. 3/5
The release of Babylon 5 The Movies on DVD marks the closing of the critically acclaimed Babylon 5 series, arguably one of the best Science Fiction series to date. Having said that, it’s important to remember that this box set should not be viewed as a starting point for first-time Babylon 5 viewers.
As indicated by the editor’s review, the only DVD that can be viewed first is ‘The Gathering’, the reworked pilot which is good as an introduction to the universe and the characters. The other movies were made either during or after the conclusion of the B5 series and as such contain many elements that would completely destroy a first-time viewer’s experience of the five year arc.
The movies ‘In The Beginning’, ‘Thirdspace’, ‘River of Souls’ and ‘A Call to Arms’ are all welcome additions to the existing B5 universe, allowing us to see just how far the characters have developed through the series. Although the self-contained nature of ‘Thirdspace’ and ‘River of Souls’ in particular do not provide the level of mounting suspense that we’re used to in the series, they’re still worth watching and allow the B5 flame to burn just that little bit longer.
To summarise: If you are a first-time Babylon 5 viewer, you would be better off to purchase the single DVD ‘Gathering / In The Beginning’, watch ONLY ‘The Gathering’ and then work your way through the season DVD box sets before moving onto the movies. If you are a fan or have a good understanding of the B5 universe, this is an excellent companion to the five B5 season sets.

The movie is without doubt a perfect union with mean streets and goodfellas. But let’s face it, why do we click into a certian HD DVD on amazon, we know whether or not we like the movie, right? We want the goods on the picture quality! Let me tell you something even if you can’t take the needed violence in this movie, get it. Even if you can’t stand all the foul language, get it. Even if you think Sharon Stone got her acting degree out of a cereal box, get it! Let me tell you something, this three hour epic looks mind numbingly stunning. I literally sat in awe at the sheer beauty of it, I mean what could possibly show of HD DVD picture quality than vegas’ bright lights and scorsese’ masterful direction? Casino, that’s what. Do yourself a favor and get this disc right now because if you don’t; Nicky will come back with a bat and if you beat him with a bat, he’ll come back with a knife and you beat him with a knife, he’ll come back with a gun and if you beat him with a gun, you better kill him because he’ll keep comin’ back, and back until one of you is dead.
I mean that statement in two ways. First, in my humble opinion, this is Martin Scorcese at his finest. This is better than Goodfellas by a wide margin. All of the regulars give awesome performances in this (even Sharon Stone, who I can’t stand!). If you like mafia pictures, this is the BEST one to own. I also mean that it’s a great picture due to the fact that it’s on HD-DVD. The picture is astonishingly vivid and clear and the lights of Las Vegas really jump out of the television. It’s almost 3-D ! The extras are ample, but I’d say adequate. That’s the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. There is the obligitory commentary, deleted scenes, and a couple featurettes. It’s all whipped cream and a cherry on top of an excellent sundae ! I do like that you can watch the extras and the movie at the same time with commentary running. This and Batman Begins are the reasons you should own an HD DVD player ! Note: I have the HD DVD drive attached to my Xbox 360 and it works brilliantly !

I fancy futurama and already have the traditional box sets, but ordered this since I had slacked off on buying the features and this was not grand more money than buying them. Titanic bargain notice, really. My only beef is that when it arrived, all the discs were out of their slots, some with visible distress (hopefully doesnt conclude playback, but now i need to check them all quick so i can hopefully exchange if some of the discs are unplayable) . Figured this was worth a mention though as it reminds me of the halo 3 debacle (discs damaged during shipping in special edition cases that microsoft ended up offering to replace) . Im hoping mine all play aesthetic, but if not id hope that microsoft’s example would be followed.
I had the impression that this was a diminutive box with a bunch of dvd’s in sleeves with a holographic image on the outsides that manufacture it witness like Bender’s head is in a tank. So I was surprised to score a very ample box on my doorstep. The pic you are looking at is a box with distinct windows and Bender’s ‘real-sized’ head is in there! Awesome! You initiate a hatch in the benefit of his head and all the dvd’s are stacked vertically in grooves. It’s a unbelievable and fun belief. I feel like I got so mighty more than I bargained for since the head is a fun reveal section.

Though here’s the reason for the 4 stars: The hatch is sort of hard to originate… though I bid it won’t flop initiate on it’s beget. My actual voice is with the dvd rack once you initiate Bender’s hatch. They are spaced very conclude together in those grooves AND it’s kind of annoying to net the dvd lined up quite just when pushing it serve in it’s legal slot. You have to really focus to gain certain you are sliding it in upright. Also, it’s kind of hard to pull out the disks by holding them on the edge. You can, but honest another 1/4″ would have been nice. It makes you want to pinch the dvd on the flat parts, which leads to smudges. Also, you can’t contemplate what dvd’s you are grabbing until you pull it out a microscopic to check. They arrive stacked in order, so you impartial count down til you procure to the lawful one. A directory on the inside of that hatch would be nice, in fact I’m going to design one myself.
So the convey is definitely 5 stars, anyone considering this already knows that. The head as a collector’s item is method fun. The head as a dvd holder is a bit difficult though. I really like opening up Bender to grasp out a disc, but could definitely behold storing these dvd’s in a sleeved case in the future. Another reason I’d do that is because the box bender came in makes a fun point to too since it makes it search for like his head is in a tank of water. So the last thing you’d want to do to bag to an episode is to commence the box, pull out Bender, fumble to pry inaugurate Bender, count down to which one you want and try not to scuff it while pulling it out….expose.

Note to fox, it would be grand if you could start the hatch by pressing Bender’s antenna, that’s how he activates things on the exhibit. It would also be ample if when you pressed on the antenna you got a nice ‘bit my knowing metal @#$’ or any other Benderisms.

I saw this movie a few years ago, when I was a police officer, and I loved it. The fact that it’s based on just record made it that noteworthy more racy to me. When I finally found it for sale, I bought it immediately! I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this movie but each time is honest as respectable as the first! I was pleasantly surprised to gape Linda Fiorentino in a nude sex scene and Michael Madson playing a gargantuan awful guy fragment. The whole thing is brought together with a astonishing performance by Charlie Sheen (as he usually does)
Charlie Sheen is superb as Don Saxon, a displaced police officer trying to reconcile his noble heart and need to do what’s factual with the fact that he murdered his abusive uncle when he was six years dilapidated. Saxon (Sheen) is apprehensive by his past. He is forced to arrive face to face with who he really is by assuming the alter ego of Sid, an undercover cop infiltrating drug and gun smuggling biker gangs. There are times when Saxon cannot distinguish bewteen Sid and himself. This immersion in Sid probably saves his life and enables his success in surviving the ruthless biker world and in gathering great amounts of damaging evidence. Anyone who has had to decide guilt and inflame from their past, and who loves bikes and biker freedom will savor this legal record and regain a runt of themselves in Sid/Saxon. Charlie Sheen’s best movie since “Platoon”, with strong succor from Fiorentino and Madsen. The soudtrack leaves an indelible impression equal to that of the narrative itself. I enjoyed this movie very mighty and contemplate it over and over.

I impartial went and saw this movie. This movie is awesome. It really portrays the events that gave him the fuel he needed to become what he is. The acting was very well done. The best section is that they didn’t destroy the movie with special effects. To many dread movies these days depend on the expend of blood to provide the accomplish they are hoping to finish with the audience. This is not the case in Hannibal Rising. They shot it conventional school which is what was called for since it took dwelling long ago. The epic is what really makes this movie. If you like this series you must run and glance this now. Like I said its basically tied with Silence of the lambs in my plan. WELL DONE.
Well I must admit I was going in to this movie with dinky expectations. I’m a gargantuan fan of the other 3, 4 if you want to add Manhunter in there. My first trouble was someone other than Anthony Hopkins playing Hannibal will be a letdown. Gaspard Ulliel is not Hopkins but he won me over. He did a very wonderful job. I’d never heard of him before and am now very impressed. Gong Li was very gracious as well. Overall the acting was better than expected.

I won’t go into the place since I trust everyone knows it by now. Going serve to perceive how Hannibal got his originate was very lively. I’m a scare film fan and admire blood and gore but to this movies credit it did not need the blood and gore. By my standards it was moderately unsightly, but I was so intrigued by the yarn I wasn’t dissapointed at all. The movie was beautifully filmed.
Here’s how I would rate all the movies so you can gage by my ratings how you might like Hannibal Rising. I rate my movies personally on a scale of 0 to 10.

This is a great primer for all you beginning wine buffs out there. I think John Cleese does a great jod of keeping an intimidating subject lower key and very modest. Look for the great reaction when he doesn’t realize the power of fermentation and he puts his head into the vat!!! The bottom line: he is trying to prove that wine doesnt have to be intimidating and scarry!!! Good show and I reccomend it to all.
Snobbery abounds in the wine world. Proof of this is hereby demonstrated on this video with Cleese’s winetasting party where he has maybe twenty guests vote on which is the cheap bottle vs. the expensive bottle of same grapetype. There wasn’t a clear majority who could identify not knowing the label, price.

So, whole point of this well done work on wine is find what you like to drink and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. This is important, since there is so much namedropping in wine drinking world. Buy and drink what you like, and try new things, as Cleese demonstrates with his own wine drinking ventures into new realms never explored by his palate before.
It is well done, with basics covered with hands on shots and interviews. Not an overdo of his humor [which is monumentally good] but very warm and inviting format and hosting on his part.

I tremendously enjoyed this, especially the discussion about the terrario (spelling?), the whole envioronmental scene where grapes on grown, which solidified much of wine discussion for me in a great way.
I believe this will be enjoyable and valuable resource for all levels.
