About half device through this film I wondered to myself if the audience would clap when it was over. They did, and it was a spontaneous and well-deserved conclusion. I’m betting Every Petite Step will net awards for Best Documentary of the year. The film begins as a retrospective about the unusual Broadway musical A Chorus Line, which debuted in 1975 and after 6,137 performances became the longest-running musical ever. Archival material and interviews with members of the modern production grasp you help thirty years to the show’s simple premise, which centered on the deeply human stories of seventeen performers. The documentary then turns to the 2006 Broadway revival of the current musical, and takes you backstage to follow the stories of the dancers who auditioned for the fifteen or so spots. It begins with an commence call that drew 3,000 artists, and proceeds through several call backs until the cast is finalized. Many are called but only a shrimp few are chosen for the coveted opportunity.

Elijah Wood plays Huckleberry Finn, a young boy growing up in the pre-Civil War South. Huck’s father is a drunken troublemaker, and is rarely around. The boy has been taken in by two helpful broken-down women who are trying their best to civilize him, but aren’t having an easy time of it. Huck lives for freedom and adventure, and the river is constantly calling his name. His best friend is a slave named Jim (Courtney B. Vance), and the two spy out for each other, more-so with every passing day. When Huck’s father Pap returns for the boy one night, having heard that he’s inherited a nice some of money (for those days), the boy is desperate to speed. Trapped and left alone the next day in his father’s run-down cabin, Huck escapes and fakes his gain “execute.” He takes a boat to Jackson’s Island, where no one lives and hardly anyone visits, and there he runs into his worn friend Jim! The two best friends go swimming, fishing, and have a generally grand time, when Jim tells Huck that he’s speed away and is planning to head down river and then up to the free states. After a personal struggle with the belief of playing abolitionist, a unsafe thing to do, Huck agrees to abet his friend race slavery. The two soon score themselves heading down the river, but at a faster breeze than they had expected. They have discovered that Jim is wanted not only for being a runaway, but also for being Huck’s “murderer.” Huck and Jim have several inspiring experiences throughout their straggle, including getting mixed up in a tragic family feud, nearly getting caught several times, and teaming up with a pair of con artists known as the King and the Duke (played wonderfully by Jason Robards and Robbie Coltrane) . It’s here where they meet three pleasing sisters (Anne Heche, Laura Bundy, and a young, and very cute Renee O’Connor) and resolve to wait on the girls at their fill risk, rather than go on with the cruel scam they were being forced to act out by the two conmen.

I’m soooo delighted this astonishing film has near to DVD. This is a perfect film in so many respects. The casting is perfect, the camera work is lovely, and the spirit of adventure, friendship, drama, and fun is portrayed perfectly in every scene. Proper, this is not very similar to the book, Tom Sawyer isn’t even mentioned. For a perfect interpretation of the book in the perform of a incredible film you need to bag the version starring Patrick Day, which is only on VHS proper now as far as I know. You’ll want to earn the 2 tape version if you can accept it, rather than the edited 1 tape version. But while I cherish the Patrick Day version, this one is by far my approved. It captures everything I feel a Huck film should, in a shorter, more though-provoking and to the point chronicle than the book tells. Fair, it’s been Disney-fied, but being a Disney fanatic, I don’t mind at all. My feeling is they usually improve the stories they assume on. This film is loaded with adventure and friendship, which is the main reason I’m such a Tom and Huck fan, and Elijah Wood really shines in the starring role. His chemistry with Courtney B. Vance is perfect! I had nearly ancient my VHS out by the time this film came to DVD. The extras are nice, but there aren’t THAT many. It could have delivered more in that department. But remember that this is a Disney DVD, and one they seem to have given grievous priority, so I’m unprejudiced satisfied it’s been released on DVD and has any extras at all. My popular film of all time, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, was given zero extras, and Hocus Pocus, another fave, also had none if I select correctly. Anyway, I definitely recommend this film for families, Tom and Huck fans, and fair graceful worthy everybody! It’s a perfect movie for a rainy Saturday night, baking something sweet and cuddling with someone special.

The Adventures of Huck Finn is one such vehicle–his best vehicle, in fact. While some will complain that Twain’s classic has been Disney-fied, movie lovers will spy past the sugar coating to regain a gem of a movie about friendship and honor, about choosing edifying in a world that endorses unsuitable. As Huck comes to respect Jim, we near to worship them both, leading us to one of the greatest movie endings of all time. One of my all-time well-liked movies, and hands-down the best movie soundtrack I have ever heard.

The DVD: C-

Disney is notoriously insensible about releasing movies on DVD, but you’d reflect that after taking so long they would give the customers something worth waiting for. Not so, this time around.

The only staunch dissimilarity between this and the LaserDisc (released in 1993) is the anamorphic video and behind-the-scenes featurette. Not only do we NOT gather 5.1 sound, the Dolby Surround we DO derive sounds terrible–as if it had been lifted straight from the LaserDisc (at best) or possibly even a video tape. It’s especially noticeable after the crystal clarity of the Disney DVD trailer that immediately precedes the film.

This review pertains to the June 2008 release of the Meridian Collection remastering of “The Red Violin”. This well-crafted saga of how a priceless, one-of-a-kind violin is passed onto various owners over time and in several countries, has been beautifully remastered. Presented in anamorphic widescreen and enchanced for widescreen TVs (16×9 aspect ratio, no dusky bars–the portray fills the entire conceal), the relate is crystal certain and the colors are unusual and vibrant.

I viewed this DVD on a 46-inch Samsung LCD high definition TV, played on a Toshiba 1080p HD DVD player–and the characterize and sound are delicate. If you play this DVD on a player that can “upconvert” a regular DVD (such as this release),the resulting image is already high definition–no need for a separate Blu-ray or HD DVD edtion.

The movie is itself, is of course, quite interesting and has more of a European/foreign film flair about it. The only noted American movie star in this film is Samuel Jackson, who, although he is somewhat miscast in this role (as other reviewers have also illustrious), tranquil manages to do his character believable–his inclusion in this movie was not a affirm shatter for me. The rest of the cast is quite generous, although likely to be largely unknown to American audiences. If you devour fine violin music, just and clarify period sets, other cultures and foreign languages (English subtitles are provided) –then you will cherish this film.

The “R” rating for this film could have easily been avoided. There are two brief scences in one segement of the yarn enthralling partial nudity, one of which is a sex scene (enthralling the violin, no less), but these scenes are not graphic or violent–one of them is actually more like a pose (”caught in the act” as it were) . These scences could easily have been modified without compromising the status, resulting in a PG-13 or even PG rating instead. Otherwise, there is no profanity or violence anywhere else in the film. This is a very light “R” film. I have seen PG-13 films that acquire a greater amount of more objectionable material (frequent cursing, double entendres, etc.) . This is a film that you will search for again and again. The Meridian Collection edition of “The Red Violin” is Highly recommended!

“Cinque carte” – five tarot cards servant Cesca (Anita Laurenzi) makes her mistress Anna Busotti (Irene Grazioli) procedure in 17th century Cremona when Anna, wife of the legendary violin maker Niccolò Busotti (Carlo Cecchi), asks her servant to deny her and her unborn child’s future. And those five cards, along with an auction in 20th century Montreal, provide the framework for the epic that is about to unfold: The Moon – a long life, plump and rich, and a long voyage. But there is a curse over her, Cesca tells her mistress as she turns the second card; there is concern to all who are under her thrall, and there will be many … indeed, the Hanged Man is a mighty card! Then there will be a time of lust and energy, her Lazarus soul will disappear across mountains, oceans and time, and she will meet a splendid and shiny man who will seduce her with his talents “and worse” – in short, the Devil. The fourth card Anna has drawn is Justice: There will be a expansive trial before a grand magistrate, Cesca tells her; she will be found guilty … “beware the heat of the fire!” And indeed, the last card that Anna turns, noteworthy to her terror, is Death – but the card is upside down and Cesca tells her not to exertion because at this point this might be friendly news: She will be carried by the air and wrathful wind, but then her voyage will approach to an destroy, “one diagram or another.” There is “anxiety” in this, Cesca says, “but you are strong now, like a tree in a forest.” She will also not be alone; the servant sees a crowd of faces … friends, family, enemies, lovers and a lot of admirers fighting to regain her hand (lots of money, too) – and ultimately, a rebirth.

Each card symbolizes one of the stories told about the travels through time and place made by the Red Violin, Niccolò Busotti’s last masterpiece, over the course of the centuries. And each of the violin’s owners we meet symbolizes a stage of life: birth, childhood, coming of age, political awakening and maturity. In that, it is not so noteworthy the violin’s voyage that links the five vignettes dealing with its owners’ lives, such as Glenn Gould’s life provided the links between the individual parts of writer-director Francois Girard’s first film, “32 Short Films About Glenn Gould.” Rather, the humans’ stories provide snapshots of various stages of the instrument’s existence, brought to life by John Corigliano’s comely and Oscar-winning pick up and Joshua Bell’s virtuoso performance – and of course, it is also sure throughout that a link exists between Anna Busotti and the violin created by her husband.

“The Red Violin” is feast for the eyes and ears – toothsome and correct to detail in its costume beget and cinematography, it not only faithfully uses the unique languages of its various locations but also actors who are native speakers (to the point of having Suisse-born actor Jean Luc Bideau characterize the French teacher of Austrian wunderkind Kaspar Weiss [Christopher Koncz], thus choosing an actor who is on the one hand fluent in German but on the other hand speaks it with a “advantageous” French accent … and although I don’t tell any Chinese/Mandarin, I wouldn’t be surprised if the scenes taking site in China were linguistically as faithful to their situation as those area in Vienna and elsewhere) .

Unfortunately, the movie’s region lines drop somewhat short of its visual and acoustic splendor. Granted, there was only diminutive possibility to fabricate meaningful stories for each of the vignettes. But given the highly symbolic nature of the movie’s five parts, too many gaping holes remain. Although we know the violin’s myth doesn’t slay with Kaspar, for example, we can only guess as to how it falls into the hands of gypsies. And the following sequence, inspiring British composer and virtuoso Frederick Pope (Jason Flemyng) and his mistress Victoria Byrd, has rightfully been criticized for the shallow waters it treads: Even if you don’t have a whole movie to fabricate the relationship between a sensual, gifted and somewhat eccentric composer and his novelist lover (such as 1991’s splendid and in the U.S. sadly overlooked “Impromptu”), and even if Greta Scacchi’s Victoria is far from being another George Sand, her talent seems … well, maybe not wasted, but reduced to another “blonde bombshell” role unworthy of her Broken-down Vic training. And don’t even salvage me started on the final scene in Montreal and the “conflict” faced by violin appraiser Charles Morritz … (although Samuel L. Jackson, at least, gives a finely tuned and sensitive performance which almost manages to calm out the edges of the script’s sometimes scratchy composition.)

But this movie’s valid star and ultimately, its saving grace, is the Red Violin itself – not the six models physically representing the instrument throughout the film of course, but the personality it gains through Corigliano’s regain and its uniquely exquisite interpretation by Bell, and the concept the violin stands for; that of music’s everlasting magic. For bringing this belief to life alone, the movie is well worth seeing.

That’s the acknowledge that Luke Jackson (Paul Newman) gives when asked why the heck he was wrenching off the tops of all those parking meters. The first shot of the movie, in fact, shows his handiwork — a whole row of decapitated meters sticking up out of the sidewalk.

Probably not — by the time it’s all over, he hasn’t gotten a single thing he wanted (except for a hilarious out-of-town stint), but he’s given a lot of other people more than they could have ever asked.

What makes “Wintry Hand Luke” such a fabulous movie is its tone and tenor — widely imitated but not surpassed by other movies of its stripe. The movie is not about prison or chain gangs, but about the weather of a man’s spirit, and how he deals (or chooses not to deal) with what he’s been handed. Luke himself says it: “Sometimes nothing can be a dependable icy hand,” and he sums himself up in that sentence. Here is a fellow with no particular skills in life, no genuine direction, no ambition — in short, something we are ostensibly taught from the git-go to dislike. His crime? Parking meters.

The film draws a simple case: Luke as a quietly selfish free spirit vs. the system. But instead of loading it down with symbolic baggage, the movie works by making its case with drama and often substantial humor. The egg-eating contest, for instance — it finds unbiased the good balance between humor and drama to produce its points, and ends with Luke passed out on the bed in a Christlike pose. (Whether or not that’s a deliberate shot is initiate to speculation; it certainly looks like it was quiet, but it’s not held too long to force the articulate on us.)

The best thing about the movie is the performances. Nobody hits a fraudulent trace or an unconvincing turn. A gigantic chunk of George Kennedy’s reputation comes from this film, and you can recognize why: he’s more or less the bid foil for Paul Newman throughout the movie, commenting on and playing off the man’s actions. But perceive how many others are also in here: Strother Martin (as Captain), Dennis Hopper, Harry Dean Stanton… a veritable roll-call of actors who’re all independently watchable and spicy.

This movie is anything but frigid. The characters are rough, evil, and awkward. The setting is realistic and harsh. It takes area in the scorching sun and humidity. There’s many a scene of sweat and overheating men. Luke, though, is icy. He’s the figure of composure; he’s classy, intellectual, proud, and witty, but he rarely talks, keeping collected. Or he’s independent free man who won’t let anyone come by him down.

There’s a scene when he bluffs his arrangement to victory in a poker match, thus his nickname “frigid hand Luke”. Another scene has him fighting with another inmate until he’s nearly unconscious, but he never surrenders. Yet another has him eating 50 eggs in an hour for a bet, and he doesn’t give up. And I contemplate this is the metaphor for the rest of the film. You can either survey him as a cocky stubborn man, or more appropriately, a man who won’t give up his freedom. He’s thrown in prison and chain gang labor for a case of petty vandalism during a drunken stupor, yet he never utters a word about it, even during the most humiliating or painful punishment, but his conviction and sentence are hardly a matter in this film. Here is a man who is shocked and dysfunctional (as the sage slightly exposes), but is already in an advanced space of personal freedom. Though he’d like to be living a normal life, searches for it, and deserves as great, he doesn’t need it. He’s spiritually and mentally invincible, and eventually it leads to his ultimate fate.

Cool Hand Luke is a worthy film. It’s one fourth romantic, three fourths gritty reality. Paul Newman and the fair cinematography are the romance. Newman nearly carries the film. Here’s this movie star, a charismatic leading man who liberally uses his smile to gain himself through scenes, but he immerses himself into his character. I deem Luke is one of the greatest, most complex male characters to grace the cloak, and Newman is really the only actor who could ever do him justice. But he isn’t playing Newman, he’s playing Luke, every dawdle of Luke. He IS Luke, he is this renegade rebel, this charming natty Dan, and this tragic everyman. Newman’s supporting cast is genuine, in one of the best acted films I’ve ever seen. George Kennedy is improbable as the only big supporting character, though the rest of the cast do their utmost to fit their roles, especially the various imperfect and slimy wardens, and they do it beautifully. No actor wastes his time on cover. They accomplish the atmosphere.

I objective have to mention the dialogue. This is one of those films with wonderful dialogue. Nothing is sappy or soupy. It embraces wit and logic, a magnificent razor sharpness, and a down to earth realism. Every sentence is perfectly placed, there are no superfluous words, every character with they’re hold style that calm allow them to sound like steady people. Kill of dialogue discussion.

This film is simple. It’s simply told, simply filmed, and on the outside it’s a simple chronicle, but I contemplate it delves a lot deeper than at first appearance. It’s unpretentious. Without us bright it paints an environment, it paints a setting. It’s a movie with determined faintly stylized points and flourishes, with a bit of a Southern storytelling air and lilt to it, and a positive appreciate for fun. But it’s intense, from the acting, to region twists and character developements, to minor “action” sequences (a movie populated by inmates and movie stars has to have some excitement), it has amazing depth in it’s subtle symbolism and it’s layered messages and it’s performances with their emotional tapestries. Thus, it has an mammoth replayability quotient.

This is drama at it’s finest. It is a complex racy film that can bag under your skin in it’s rawness, but can collected entertain you, and send you into that dreamy mesmerized position of being in dread of a film and the characters portrayed in it.

Miriam Hopkins plays shapely Mary Rutledge who arrives in San Francisco in the 185O’s to marry Dan Morgan – only to scrutinize that he died mysteriously after losing his fortune to Louis Chamalis (Eddie Robinson), the worthy owner of the Bella Donna saloon. Mary works for Chamalis as a roulette operator: he falls for her, but she does not reciprocate his feelings. Then a shapely, well-bred Easterner named Jim Carmichael appears in the Bella Donna: Mary finds her man…Robinson’s performance is not one of his best, but Hopkins is first rate and McCrea does an admirable job. William Wellman was originally assigned to mutter this film which was originally supposed to team Gary Cooper with Gloria Swanson (!) . This marked the first film in which Howard Hawks directed for Sam Goldwyn. In his second American film, David Niven is seen as as a Cockney sailor. The script was written by the esteemed team of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur. In his first appearance in a Goldwyn film, Walter Brennan is seen as Feeble Atrocity (!) .

This film is a exact win not for the main actors but for the bit players. Its really arresting and captures the 1849 city by the bay in all its glitter and mud. It’s nicely paced and except for some shots that seem a tad redundent the fog hides the mystery of the like affair. Walter Brennan is well-kept and plays the weak sawdust with a honest conflict. I enjoyed the whole myth and for 1935 it seemed was ahead of its time. Worth a rental or for the trace above to be a keeper

Oh, man, I admire this movie. It’s not perfect, but it takes such a modern and juicy near to fright that I can only wonder why more awe fans haven’t feasted of the virtual flesh that is Brainscan. Determined, the climax of the film is predictable, and the space requires the mega-indulgence of your imagination, and the final, final twist is something of a letdown (of slight importance), but this film has pizzazz and originality, a heavy rocking soundtrack, and a profitable element of creepiness that flowed through my veins like liquid nirvana.

Edward Furlong of T2 fame plays Michael Bower, a rather solitary computer nerd of a teenager who lives in a world of fear films, computer games, and rock music; like many a dread fanatic, he is always on the lookout for the ultimate scare experience (although, as typically happens, he’s timid to perform a fade on the girl next door whom he secretly pines for) . He sounds a lot like me, actually, but this kid has an awesome computer system (especially for 1994) which includes a virtual assistant named Igor. When his best (and only) bud tells him about this modern interactive game called Brainscan (dude, it’s advertised in Fangoria), he calls up the number and soon finds himself engaged in an experience he was not prepared for. The first disk promises him a realistic experience of killing from the viewpoint of the killer himself. Don’t procure hung up on the details because he basically unbiased sits there and the game sends out some kind of special hypnotic waves toward his brain or something. Anyway, he’s attractive stoked about the experience until he learns that a local man was actually murdered in an identical fashion – it was supposed to be unprejudiced a computer game. Naturally, he starts to freak out a cramped bit, but the sterling Brainscan mastermind is there to serve him. Trickster (T. Ryder Smith) even keeps popping into his room in some kind of magically electronic fashion to guide (more like compel, actually) him through the other three game disks – he has to recall care of witnesses, you gawk. Meanwhile, the law is circling in on him, he doesn’t know what’s trusty and what’s not, and he’s basically forced to hold playing the game. We all know who the last victim will be, of course, but we have to wait and search for whether he can go through with the final demolish. The ultimate conclusion comes as no surprise because there is really only one procedure to raze a film such as this, but it was pulled off fairly well, throwing in a couple of elements that seemed a exiguous left of center.

This was not some high-budget theatrical production, and that’s comely – in fact, more money would probably have ruined this film. The acting isn’t the best in the world, although Furlong improves as he goes along, Amy Hargreaves has that cute girl next door thing working to perfection, and T. Ryder Smith is an absolute joy to leer in the role of Trickster. Some mysteries are left a miniature dim, such as those about a trauma in Michael’s past, and grand of the secrets of the game play itself are basically unprejudiced ignored, but there’s no need to overanalyze this gloriously over-the-top film. I was a limited annoyed at first by the darkness of the film print, but I soon concluded that this was a sterling thing; Brainscan really should be watched in the gloomy. Impartial sit help, give yourself over completely to the film, and reap the rewards of this ingeniously different kind of horror/science fiction/suspense classic.

Finally, I have to throw out some kudos to the makers of this film for including Zak the dog in the credits; Zak had a vital albeit supporting role in the film, but this canine earned his money and certainly deserved credit for his work.

I decided I had to review this when I read that some people didn’t peer the trickster as scary. I agree the trickster isn’t scary. That being said, I don’t really want to gawk him as scary because, to me, this movie isn’t about being terrorized. To me this is a sizable nineties gem that reminds me of all the terror media I enjoyed growing up. Granted it’s rated R and is a tad more shameful (being that it is brought to you by the same man who brought a movie about the seedy underground pornography industry [8mm]), but to me, it aloof has the same appeal of an are you haunted of the shadowy or a goosebumps. The kind of memoir that is somewhat of mix between friday the 13th, and stand by me.

Section my attraction lies in that the protagonist is a dread obsessed computer nerd, whom I resembled at more than one point in my life. I can characterize to this kid of many levels and I guess I longed for an adventure like this to approach along and sweep me up

No this isn’t an memoir, it’s a movie of the week, but it’s very sentimental to those of us who remember having the time of our lives reading a goosebumps or watching an are you skittish of the shadowy. If nothing more, the appeal of this movie lies in the less than well-liked kid getting the girl and having a few creepy encounters along the design. That myth,no matter how many times told, will always plan my interest.

So I guess this is to me what wait on to the future/ star wars is to many others. They can have that. I’ll catch my brainscan

I unprejudiced recieved this in the mail and had missed remarkable of the proper broadcast. I was hoping to salvage a friendly representation of the games here. Well effect no mistake there is some respectable footage here. But sadly this whole DVD seems to be about American participation and medal winners. There are a few clips of the Jamaican runners.

But you’d be forgiven if you never knew that any other team but America mattered or won medals. I’m told that people in other countries accumulate to search for considerable more balanced coverage than we do. On the basis of this DVD I’d guess that there was no boxing, no weightlifting, no boating events, no rhythmic gymnastics, no marathons, etc.

What would be nice would be something that gives us an notion what the athletes of the world were doing in Beijing in 2008. I miss the days when you could cheer the Kenyan runners or feel the political tension of the Ukrainian gymnasts. Instead we win the most isolationist vision of the world I’ve ever witnessed.

If your opinion of a “highlight” is to examine runners crossing the accomplish line with their arms in the air, swimmers hugging after their hurry or athletes standing on the podium waiting to receive their medals then this DVD is for you. If you are looking for something a petite more sizable….like actually seeing the urge (or event) you will be very disappointed.

I vividly remember the release of Sleeping Beauty. I was veteran enough to go observe it myself – impartial barely. There I was sitting plot up front eating my popcorn and all of a sudden this spectacular dragon materialized accurate before my eyes. Popcorn forgotten, I was bent. This is hardly the case – this film is fair as vibrant and alive as it was in 1959.

The added dimension now is that I can glimpse how Disney’s work was a formative influence on animation even today. Artist/Directors like Miyazaki owe great to this film and its predecessor Snow White. And they freely admit it. As a production, Sleeping Beauty created a sense of legitimacy for animation that proved that high quality animation was something well beyond the Saturday morning funnies.

Disney took a ample risk when creating this film, pouring a huge amount of resources in making it something as perfect as was possible for his time. While the studio reaped the financial benefits, the audience was the sincere winner, as a whole genre exploded before our eyes. Even now, with anime fast becoming a force to be reckoned with, this film stands out for legend, art, and music.

The additional features, especially those that retell the making of the film, are great as well. All captures in pleasing detail on this DVD. This is a must peruse for anyone who calm loves a fairy story.

This movie is one of the ample classics of animation, especially for Disney. The DVD version is significantly improved compared to the previous VHS tape. The relate and sound were both greatly enhanced for this release. Furthermore, both widescreen and beefy mask versions are available in this package.

As with Disney’s other classics, some liberties were taken with the unique yarn of Sleeping Beauty. Disney took the classic record and made it unusual and special. In some ways the chronicle is less violent and shaded than the unique fairy account. In other ways, such as the portrayal of Maleficent, the movie is dismal and forbidding. While the movie is generally a children’s movie, Maleficent’s dragon and her general demeanor can be somewhat ghastly for some in the pre-school and younger status.

Aurora was the first savor for many a young boy, and was also the model for the aspirations of millions of girls. The romantic adore legend of Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip enchanted would-be princesses everywhere, and in some cases became the measure by which future spouses were measured (and many of us struggled to meet the ideal) .

Of course, the romantic myth and the outrageous of Maleficent were balanced by the comedy of the animal characters and the three bumbling, good-hearted fairy godmothers. While their goodness may appear a bit too vanilla and sweet for some, it is perfect for those longing for the innocence of their youth.

While the movie is the most notable allotment of the DVD, this two CD place contains a phenomenal number of extras. I found the audio commentary by various key individuals to be absolutely consuming. I planned to listen to portions of the commentary in preparation for my review, and instead found myself listening to the entire thing because it was so incredibly gripping. Mary Costa (Princess Aurora) and others provide their perspective on the creation of the movie, as well as personal memories of Walt Disney and his influence on the film. The audio commentary by itself is worth replacing your VHS tape, particularly for aficionados of Disney movies.

In addition to the audio commentary are numerous, emphasize numerous, other bonus features. Some I felt were less than worthwhile, others, such as the shorts “Big Canyon” and “The Peter Tchaikovsky Anecdote,” were estimable bonuses. The number of bonuses on this two disc station was so spacious that there is a navigational overview included in the DVD that categorizes 38 features found on the second disc.

With the movie and the wealth of bonuses, this movie is a must-buy for those who have yet to have “Sleeping Beauty.” For those who have the VHS, the bonus material is nearly worth the cost of the DVD. Certainly those who are collectors of Disney memorabilia and historians of Disney will earn the DVD to be a concise compendium of some of the best information available regarding this film. I highly recommend this DVD!

The mexican soap opera was one of the best that I have ever seen. While it was being aired I caught about 90% of it. I was so disapointed after I complety look the dvd in chunky. It as nearly a third of it prick out. Most of the non notable scenes were deleted. Everything about Julia’s sister Soledad was basically deleted. The fraction where she tries to play it off like she’s pregnant by Gabriel was deleted. Everything about here having to decide between Samuel, and Leandro was deleted. Ever thing about Alvaro mis treating Lucero was deleted and fair about everything about Lucero and Ramon was slit out. Everything about Julia and Sebastian’s almost relationship was deleted. The whole funeral scene where Julia’s first son dies is gone. Most of Nadia and Alvaro relationship hardly happend. This was unbiased a mammoth disapointment for me. Please let me know if there is anywhere where I can score a burly length version of it.

The telenovela was vast, I don’t need to exclaim you that we all know it. Passion, adore, detest everything are there! But the dvd is very badly edited, so many mammoth scenes slash, so many moments are not shown fully. You can’t really accumulate a taste of apuesta por un amor with impartial the dvd.
