This is a superlative period fraction and a vivid adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell’s 1865 fresh of the same name. This BBC mini-series is a reliable costume drama with stellar performances by the entire cast. Site in rural England, the film centers around Molly Gibson, the seventeen year ragged daughter of a country doctor. Molly and her father, a widower for most of Molly’s life, have an exceptionally end and loving relationship. She has a grown daughter named Cynthia, a glowing young woman, halt to Molly in age, but as different from Molly as night and day. Cynthia is best described as a Marilyn Monroe of the Victorian age. There is an inviting fifty five exiguous portrait of Elizabeth Gaskell, the author of the fresh upon which this mini-series is based. There is a also a twenty itsy-bitsy documentary on the making of the film which is captivating, as it gives a bird’s scrutinize conception of the notion that went into the making of the film and the development of the characters. There is also a who’s who guide to the performers. This DVD is well worth having in one’s collection.

This sage centers around girl-next-door Molly Gibson (Justine Waddell of “Mansfield Park,” “Tess” and “Sizable Expectations”) and her father, the town doctor (Bill Patterson) . Their idyllic lives are turned upside down when Mr. Gibson remarries the selfish, self-absorbed Claire Fitzpatrick (Francesca Annis) and her aesthetic daughter Cynthia (Keeley Hawes of “Our Mutual Friend”) join the household. The brothers Osborne (Tom Hollander) and Roger (blooming newcomer Anthony Howell who reminds me of a young Mel Gibson) Hamley add romantic interest to the epic. However, the Hamleys advance from old-fashioned English stock and the squire Hamley (stale actor Michael Gambon) desires his sons to marry into “wealthy stale English families.” Before long, Molly falls for Roger and Roger falls for Cynthia and we, the viewers, rep some surprising discoveries along the draw!!

Memorable supporting characters include the goodhearted Browning sisters, town gossip Mrs. Goodenough, mysterious Mr. Preston (Iain Glen) and the aristocratic Cumnor family. Justine Waddell is gleaming as Molly and Michael Gambon and Francesca Annis turn in memorable performances. The scenery, costumes and production values are all trustworthy. Screenwriter Andrew Davies – who also penned P&P – gives us a satisfying, romantic original ending that would construct Mrs. Gaskell proud. I loved every moment of this adaptation! If you are an Anglophile, bask in a big adore narrative or are a fan of Mrs. Gaskell, this is the film for you!!!

This film is absolutely mesmerizing. Michael Douglas snaps one day and goes wandering through Los Angeles. I mediate it’s exciting when you read reviews on this movie from people in the midwest who don’t win this movie. People in L.A. on the other hand certainly do win it. I can advise you from personal experience of living there and being held at gun point by scumbags that anyone could be pushed over the edge in LA. I found this movie to be laugh-out-loud humorous especially when Michael Douglas orders a “Whammy Burger” and when he tries out his rocket launcher after an argument with a Cal-Trans employee. “There’s nothing obnoxious with the road, but I’ll give you something to fix.” I don’t reflect people outside of LA can enjoy that scene as powerful. And watching Michael Douglas on that golf course had my side hurting for days from painful laughter. Yes, it’s sick but the procedure he looks down at the former guy and says, “And now you’re going to die…with that humorous hat on”, was amazing. And how about the scene with the white supremist? If you deem this movie had too many stereotypes, then you’ve never been to LA. It’s a sick set with sick people where sick things happen. Yes, it’s bad that people secure shot, but a lot of people in LA deserve what happens to them which this film boldy proves. Studies have shown that the combination of stress, traffic jams, and smog can obtain someone lose it. What’s the point? The point is you should enjoy wherever you live as long as it’s not there. Michael Douglas should have got an Oscar for his performance. This was the best movie of the year although it’s obviously not for all tastes.

This is a noteworthy film, but I personally don’t watch at it as some type of social commentary or condemnation of original society, although it certainly touches on some of the problems that will always exist among human beings. Falling Down may well have a potent enact on anyone watching it, though. It always leaves me feeling really, really irregular because it touches on so many things we all have to effect up with each day, presents a monster whom I can’t support but sympathize with in some degree, provides us with a hero whose contain life is rife with undeserved problems, and runs its course atop a strong undercurrent of sadness. Michael Douglas gives one of his better performances as Bill Foster, an unremarkable man who finds his world torn apart and finally fair snaps. He has lost his wife and runt girl (which is his acquire fault) ; he’s lost his job, the one thing that made him feel important; he objective wants things to be like they passe to be. One of the things I liked most about Falling Down was its attempt to recount Foster as one very vexed man and not a stand-in for any type of stereotypical vigilante; one character in particular makes this point quite clearly when, discovering that Foster doesn’t actually agree with him in his maintain crooked, stereotypically extremist mindset, he asks the man fair what kind of vigilante he is supposed to be. My have thinking is that Falling Down is not meant to be a warning about a group of potential Bill Fosters festering in the midst of society; instead, by showing us what happens to one man, it is warning us to coast carefully on our gain journeys and to be careful to support our tempers in check even when the world seems to be out to acquire us. At the same time, it doesn’t imply that we should roll over and play uninteresting whenever a spot comes our diagram, using the character of Prendergast to demonstrate us that we can and should stand up for ourselves but only in constructive ways. I really have a lot of conflicting emotions about this film, but the one thing I am definite of is that Falling Down is an unforgettable motion report well worth seeing.

An utterly gleaming pastiche from Godard. JLG gives us a nightmarish vision of contemporary bourgeois society in which the apocalypse takes on the design of a series of bloody car wrecks and cannibalistic revolutionaries running wild. Even the scenes that don’t work, like the bizarre encounter with Emily Bronte and Louis Carroll and the 18th-century French revolutionary reading a political tract, are forgiveable simply because they only add to the anarchic nature of the film. Week-End is one of the defining films of the 20th Century. Born out of the nouvelle vague cinema (French Modern Wave), this is the bad birth that is brought to light from J.L.Godard’s obsession with prophesising the destruction and decline of the West. This one starts off rough, but allow me to offer three words of advice: Stick with it.

This performance begins fairly lackluster, with singing that is, quite frankly (and brutally) unpleasant, particularly from the two prima donnas, Amarilli Nizza and Julia Gertseva. The men (Jose Cura as Edgar, Marco Vratogna as Frank and Carlo Cigni as Gualtiero) aesthetic considerably better.

For whatever reasons (and keeping with the fresh “update” trend) Lorenzo Mariani moves the action up – SIX HUNDRED YEARS – so instead of a medieval narrative of lust, blood and redemption, the whole thing looks very “Sunday in the Park With George” – in fact, the unit station is a lush, long grassed expanse like a meadow or unkempt park, steeply raked to appear hilly and fitted with grand columns giving the feeling of a field reach a courtyard. It’s beautiful to spy at and . . . eventually, makes a terrific setting.

If you reflect you know Edgar well, (as I did), you’re imperfect. This is the novel four act version that received only three performances – at La Scala in April 1889, was declared a failure, and place away never to be heard again, except in a variety of truncated three act versions. The Fourth act is a revelation and consists primarily of a nearly half an hour of music for Edgar and Fidelia – an almost Wagnerian length duet, broken up with asides, choruses – pumping out an array of explosive emotions ranging from the tenderness and elation of appreciate, to the crowds howling at the villainess as she’s dragged off to the executioner’s sword. It is thrilling.

The second act is slightly funny – where I’ve always imagined a filthy 14th century orgy trustworthy of Hieronymus Bosch what we examine is the same grassy park of act one but now with those circular Victorian-era sofas each wrapped around the columns of the first act. The woman are horrible gotten up in bloomers and account for bustiers, their hair piled high a la “Gibson Girl” – and a sextette of them are donned up in Eartha Kit Catwoman masks and long red opera gloves. The whole thing feels like The Best Limited Whorehouse in Texas decided to mount The Merry Widow. Julia Gertseva, pleasing to seek at vocally not at all impressive in Act I, here reveals a sizeable high mezzo, with amazingly free top notes, the recount sailing through Puccini’s “broad girl” music with no fears. In gloomy and red, with a kind of comical tiara, she creates a bright, deceptively shallow creature that is one piece Lady Macbeth, two parts Thais. (When Edgar abruptly stops making worship to her when he hears the military trumpets, you can throw in one portion of Carmen, too!) . The scenario is a tough one to tumble for, but by this point you unprejudiced have to go with it.

The glory of Edgar is its third act, Puccini’s stunningly handsome Requiem, and everything goes moral here (even if it looks like a scene from Jane Eyre or Bleak House) . The chorus is terrific, the children’s chorus touching and effective and most of all, Amarilli Nizza makes you forget her awkward first act by giving a performance that is soul searing. Her “Addio, mio dolce amor” lets out all the stops, and the glory of her state – a free and remarkably thrilling top – gives gooseflesh. She dominates the ensemble that follows and her second aria over the shouts of Edgar and the villagers, as she defends the memory of the man all own tedious, before she and the others leave for home, is infinitely curious.

Tigrana’s reappearance – to pay her respects, grieve and invent her first attempt at prayer – is fouled by being status up and horribly taunted by Edgar and Frank, before she gives in to their offer to betray Edgar’s memory. Edgar’s revelation provokes another response entirely from the reassembled crowd and the act ends in a moment that is as theatrically compelling and musically thrilling as anything else Puccini was to give us over the ensuing decades. It is a phenomenal moment and a grand curtain bringer downer.

The final act opens with Fidelia in her wedding hide, kneeling under and embracing the flowering almond tree she fell in worship with Edgar. She has been keeping vigil and the aria about her dream of marrying Edgar in heaven – which on paper sounds almost comically naive – is simply resplendent as handled b Ms. Nizza. Carlo Cigni’s Gualtiero’s rich, magnificent bass baritone soars beautifully over the chorus in his prayer. Marco Vratogna doesn’t secure a lot to do as Frank, but his actorly presence is strongly felt throughout each act and when he sings, it’s with an impressive tell.

Jose Cura has a major success as Edgar, this performance finding him mostly in sparkling advise – the top notes piquant and every once in a while a radiant hint of squillo creeps in that made me go “oh yeah!.” He croons a bit in some of the softer music, sounding like he’s coming in for a rough area at the destroy of one of his duets with Fidelia. (To her credit Nizza, who sounded as though prepared to enjoy onto that stamp duet for eternity, cuts it off short like a moral stage partner) .

Yoram David leads an a sometimes clunky, but mostly inspiring and stunning performance from the Teatro Regio Torino forces. There are moments that feel under-rehearsed or not conception too great about, for instance he doesn’t really milk some of the Requiem music which cries at times for a more large reading while here it can be unbiased a bit foursquare. But, mostly he gets it fair and the biggest moments ring out with a feverish passion that a work like this needs.

The accompanying pamphlet gives a nice article about the work. Of broad interest is how Linda Fairtile had been trying to re-orchestrate the fourth act, believed to either have been destroyed or forever lost, from Ricordi’s piano-only version, when she was approached by Puccini’s granddaughter, who brought with her the entire paunchy acquire which hadn’t been seen in 121 years!

I’ve been a bit surprised a discovery of this magnitude wasn’t more publicized, but this is a novel – and downright queer – opera, but don’t let that set you off. And don’t give up after Act 1 – it’s so very, very worth sticking with it!

This installment of GA is rather short at 25 minutes total running time, but what did you inquire for only around $10 USD? To give some perspective, these 2 episodes originally aired in behind 2003 in Japan (they obvious took their sweet time bringing it state-side huh? ) in between seasons 3.5 (Galaxy Angel Aa: Anime Legends Complete Collection) and 4 (Galaxy Angel X: Complete Collection) . The sincere purpose of this short special was to tell and promote season 4.

The 2 episodes are decent, I wouldn’t deem them among the better episodes of the series, but they’re certainly not awful either. In the first of 2 episodes Milfeulle (front and center with pink hair) seemed very out of character for great of the episode which lost it some points in my book. Also, Ranpha’s (Blonde on the left) english assert has been changed. The original boom actress does a resplendent advantageous job at mimicking the character’s conventional recount, but it is in fact noticeably different at times, which might bother some people like it did me (I personally had to switch it over to Japanese) .

The disc attempts to create up for the length by piling on the extras, however, only hardcore fans of the series need apply. The extras occupy tiny value to casual watchers and people novel to anime might be haunted away by culture shock. Plus if you don’t want to be disillusioned by seeing what the insist actresses seek like, then you too should discontinue away from the extras.

This installment of the series is nothing spectacular, but at least it’s cheap.

Galaxy Angel S is extremely short. Two episodes short. But these two episodes are huge. In the first episode the fair, cute, and extremely lucky Milfeulle believes she’s a ghost and must haunt her fellow angels. Hillarious episode. In the second episode the Lt. Colonel returns to his feeble berserker self. The dreaded ‘White Wolf of the Ultra Supernova.’ Very inspiring episode to peruse. If you like the other Galaxy Angel Series then you probably already have this title. If you don’t have this series yet, let me unprejudiced say if you like anime and comedy then occupy this title as well as the others. You won’t be disappointed.

Soylent Green (Richard Fleischer, 1973)

So what’s the inequity between schlock and one of the 100 best films ever made? Sometimes, I’ll admit, it’s a stunning blurry line. That’s the case with this gem from the Richard Fleischer stable, a record of a Original York City with a population of forty million and a food supply that comes in puny squares of red, yellow, and green.

Thorn (Heston) chews scenery. Roth (Edward G. Robinson) spends his life moaning about how things were better in the seventies. (If only they knew.) The two of them try to acquire through their lives scavenging from the rich, like everyone else in Original York. They have an edge, with Thorn being a cop who treats corruption like a confortable pair of undershorts. A high society cancel tips Thorn off that all may not be well with Soylent, the company that makes the majority of the world’s food supply, and Thorn and Roth inaugurate digging deeper deapite warnings from the victim’s mature bodyguard (Stephen Young) and Thorn’s lieutanant (Brock Peters) . The production values are strictly seventies, and it’s mammoth to walk fun at various things in the film (”my god, it’s 2022 and they’re composed listening to poor lounge music? “) . And yet there’s something undefinable about this film that propels it from the realm of awful seventies science-fiction exploitation into the realm of upright genius. What that thing is, I don’t know; when I figure it out, I’ll instruct you. But something clicked. Heston’s patented god-guns-and-guts character is perfect for the role. Robinson actually looks convincing salivating over a stick of celery. And somehow the movie’s last lines are delivered convincingly. It’s astounding. Whatever magic they managed to effect with this one, Hollywood needs to develop more of it. **** 1/2

The DVD release of this vast Charlton Heston classic is a marvel to contemplate. It’s in widescreen format and all the TV/VHS fog is gone, gone, gone; the images and sounds are as obvious and crisp as the dawning day.

This film deserves such treatment. Along with _Planet of the Apes_ and _The Omega Man_, it’s portion of Heston’s series of three ‘last man’ films, and it’s worthy better than _The Omega Man_. (As movie buffs know, it’s also the touching final film appearance of the slow Edward G. Robinson.)

A classic in its genre, this film is based on Harry Harrison’s ‘Make Room! Form Room!’ and is a somewhat heavy-handed morality play on the subject of Malthusian population dynamics. It’s improbable that it works as well as it does. But it really does work; this is one of the all-time greats of SF filmdom, proper up to and including its illustrious closing moments.

Put this on your shelf next to Heston’s _Planet of the Apes_.

LADY DEATH THE MOVIE is awful! Among its safe points is the fact that the myth is faithful, for the most share, to Lady deaths first mini-series THE RECKONING, with some changes. The issue acting is decent, but the animation is gross. For a movie that has been in prodution soooooo long i must say i was expecting a LOT better. Other reviewers have rated this anime movie 4 and 5 stars, GHOST IN THE SHELL, Titillating AWAY, VAMPIRE HUNTER D, if you compare these high quality anime movies to LADY DEATH, she objective can’t compete. EP

I have to admit that I hadn’t read the laughable book version of “Lady Death”. I rented this out of sheer curiosity when I saw it on the website of my online dvd rental service. The premise of the film sounded moving. A young girl Hope is the daughter of a mercenary named Matthias who isn’t what he appears to be. When villagers construct accusations against Matthias for a fiery incident at his castle, Hope is punished for her father’s crimes by the townsfolk and is burned at the stake. When Hope is reunited with her father in the underworld, she finds out his precise identity as Lucifer. She swiftly rejects her father’s offer to rule the underworld and conquer the world together. Her rejection automatically sends her to Lucifer’s extinct comrade Cremator. Under Cremator’s tutelage, Hope slowly transforms into Lady Death both physically and emotionally. Lady Death is clear to bring down her father once and for all.

I personally liked this movie. It isn’t perfect. I have seen better animation from other anime films. The animation fair seemed dated and didn’t lack the vibrant colors or the astounding visuals that films like “Ghost in the Shell” or any of Hayao Miyazaki films possesses. The dialogue was terribly cheesy and unintentionally hilarious. I bet a chimpanzee could have written better dialogue than the humans that came up with this script. Despite the unimpressive animation, thin area, and unintentionally comic dialogue, I composed found this film rather animated. I guess I can chalk it up as a guilty pleasure for this reviewer.

I esteem watching shows about animals on Animal planet, Discovery and national Geographic, but it can be heartwrenching to spy the animals gain stalked and killed (even though this is the plan nature intended!) .

This DVD is very uplifting to ogle, no killing, only ecstatic baby animals with their mothers.

Not clear how they got all the scenes, but it is very savory. The polar occupy cubs are lovely!

Definitely worth the money- for kids or adults.

MY kids Like this prove. It’s over 3 and a half hours- even I found myself fascinated with this show- it’s worth it’s money. It is a documentary produce, but it switches animals hasty enough to hold my kids watching. It’s so educational I decided to design it a allotment of their preschool class (I snarl them) . My kids are more mellow, and they unprejudiced admire animals- I’d recommend it to anyone! If your kids for some reason gain bored with the documentary grunt, maybe you can turn down the volume and play some nice music. This video is certainly worth the difficulty!!

Ok, so this season isn’t as profitable as Season 9 but that doesn’t perform it awful. In fact there are some really kindly episodes in this season. As someone who thinks the demonstrate should’ve ended after Season 11, how can I possibly reject this season. And now a brief summary.

1. Lard of the Dance – For this episode, the Lisa “A” myth with Lisa Kudrow has its laughs but for me, it’s all about the Homer and Bart “B” legend where Homer thinks he can invent a fortune by selling grease. You can’t go improper with Homer and a crazy blueprint.

2. The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace – Written by the prolific John Schwartzwelder, this episode features Homer attempting to emulate Thomas Edison’s prolific inventing after suffering a mid-life crisis.

3. Bart the Mother – An episode that got too sappy IMO. Bart accidently shoots a mother bird and decides to care for the eggs she apparently left. Nice third act though.

4. Treehouse of Fright IX – Laughable at the time but ages exact rapid. I – after Snake is executed, his toupee is donated to the one man that needs it most, Homer. II – What? Bart and Lisa are trapped in an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon? How humiliating! III – Hey kids, remember Jerry Springer. Well when he’s not dancing with the true dancers, he has time to give a voice-over.

5. When You Dish upon a Star – What? There are celebrities who resolve to live in Springfield? Specifically Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger (in happier times) not only live there but determine to hire Homer as an assistant. Also, you pick up the occasional pop-in by Ron Howard who is there to raid the liquor cabinet.

6. D’oh-in in the Wind – After visiting the commune where his mother hid, Homer decides that he wants to be a hippie which is due to nettle the other hippies who live there (guest voiced by Martin Mull and the titanic George Carlin) .

7. Lisa Gets an “A” – Lisa cheated on a test? Well its proper. Again the Homer B chronicle is better when he takes care of a misunderstood lobster named Pinchy. The first episode with that mountainous educator Situation Comptroller Atkins.

8. Homer Simpson in: “Kidney Worry” – Impartial because Homer caused Grandpa to lost functionality in both off his kidneys, that doesn’t mean that Homer actually has to donate one of his hold kidneys to set Grandpa’s life! Does it? Written by John Schwartzwelder.

9. Mayored to the Mob – This is a hilarious episode from the BiMonSciFiCon to Brand Hamill in “Guys and Dolls” Yes, Luke be a Jedi tonight! Also, after protecting Mayor Quimby from a horde of wrathful sci-fiers, Quimby decides to hire Homer as his bodyguard.

10. Viva Ned Flanders – Probably because there was already a casino in Springfield, none of the Simpsons ever decided to go to Las Vegas, that is until now. When Ned Flanders decides to do up for a life of not living on the edge, he decides to call Homer. While it was a comical episode, it helped spawn that undying premise of the Vegas wives.

11. Wild Barts Can’t Be Broken – After a spree of wanton vandalism (caused of course by Homer, Lenny, Carl, and Barney) the town enacts a curfew that prevents the kids from leaving the house.

12. Sunday, Cruddy Sunday – Fred Willard guest voices as the disappear agent who books a grand group of the Springfield gents to a lunge to Desirable Bowl XXXIII. A notice of trivia, the date that this aired was also the premiere date of Family Guy. Read into that any meaning you like.

13. Homer to the Max – Written by John Schwartzwelder, this episode smooth makes me laugh. Homer gets a lot of respect when a frosty detective on TV named Homer Simpson hits the hide. However, after the pilot, they turn Det. Homer Simpson into a idle, stupid ignoramus forcing Homer to change his name to (drumroll) MAX POWER. Remember, nobody snuggles with Max Power, you strap yourself in and feel the Gs.

14. I’m with Cupid – Apu’s extravagant gifts and affection for Manjula on Valentine’s day force the rest of the male Springfield population to become irate. Guest appearance by Sir Elton John.

15. Marge Simpson in: “Screaming Yellow Honkers” – Probably the first sitcom to purchase on road rage (not to mention the burgeoning phenom of female SUV driving) was the Simpsons. When Homer accidentally buys a lady Canyonero (Canyonero Yeee Hah!) Marge decides to drive it causing her to acquire road rage.

16. Gain Room for Lisa – A nice Homer-Lisa fable where for the first time, Lisa explores her contain insensitivity to Homer. Also, a lot of Lindsay Naegle (before she was Lindsay Neagle) as the OmniTouch accumulate.

17. Maximum Homerdrive – After losing a steak eating contest to a truck driver who eventually dies, Homer decides to deny the slow man’s payload. BTW, who knew that those trucks could drive themselves? Written by John Schwartzwelder.

18. Simpsons Bible Stories – Rather than honest stare Halloween themed ideas, why not try a more scary book like….I dunno…..the Bible. I – Homer and Marge are at the Garden of Eden, II – the Jews will rush the wrath of the spoiled pharoah by the leadership of Milhouse? III – Bart as David who now has to face Goliath’s son, who is unbiased as mountainous, and angrier.

19. Mom and Pop Art – Underrated episode where Homer becomes a conceptual artist by accident. But when the art community rebuffs his newer work, Homer decides to try an artistic stunt so revolutionary that the art community would have to respect him. Also some broad Arizona Station bashing by Ned.

20. The Faded Man and the “C” Student – After Bart pulls a stunt that forces the IOC to reject Springfield as the dwelling of the Olympic games, he has to do community service at the primitive folks’ home. Meanwhile, Homer is unfortunate when his mascot understanding, the Springfield Spring, is rendered useless forcing him to reach up with other ideas for using the spring.

21. Monty Can’t Capture Me Treasure – Why don’t the people like Monty Burns? That’s what Monty wants to know especially after the dashing billionaire Arthur Fortune comes to town. Written by John Schwartzwelder.

22. They Saved Lisa’s Brain – Now this is a enormous episode. After witnessing the extreme and idiotic behavior of the townspeople, Lisa writes an op-ed which allows her to join Springfield’s Mensa society. Soon they hold over the town which causes an uproar. Some sizable Funny Book Guy lines and oh btw, did I mention that Stephen Hawking makes an appearance as the notify of reason.

23. Thirty Minutes over Tokyo – The Simpsons desire for an economical vacation leads them to lift a slouch to Japan. Because after going to Australia, why not try their luck at another country?

The DVD plot inclues audio commentary on every episode (weird but the audio commentaries are funnier than the original batch of shows), animation showcases, and many other special features.

This is smooth gorgeous darn trustworthy comedy but for those who have followed the intricate humor of the Simpsons this season is the beginning of the streak into mediocrity that they are wallowing in today. Probably one of the last seasons I’ll pick.

This happens time and time again………

There is a logic flaw somewhere with Hollywood quite often when it comes to comical characters or legends that eludes me………

They steal a unlit character and turn it into a goofy spoof of itself with some generic “Hollywood formula” that usually damages the film with fans and loses the general audience because it changes the character that was apparently successful enough in the first space to be beneficial of a movie.

Consider for a moment with funny heroes……..

You have the amusing fanbase who know the character and will be dissapointed if you tamper with it.

Then you have the general public who knows runt about the character and thus have no preconceived expectations.

SO….

If you execute the character faithful to the droll, the fans will praise it and the general public who have no other expectation will treasure it also.

Instead when Hollywood turns a character like Ghost Rider into a campy pale shadow of itself, the fans are turned off and the general public are left wondering… “Why is this character so common”?

The destroy result?

Bad box office returns and the snappily slay of a franchise before it can gain started.

Ghost Rider STARTED just on track, but once Cage entered and started his one-liner “Comedy Central” cracks and quirky sarcasm, the movie eroded fleet.

Then try and forget the inconsistencies in fable logic or even why an deplorable spawn with the power of Satan himself is affected by shotgun bullets, etc…

The writers seemed to confuse Ghost Rider with the Hulk also……….. Ghost Rider (current amusing series) was speak and spoke like a demon with long sermon like preachings when inflicting his wrath…………. this movie version of Ghost Rider grunts and utters Hulk-like sentences like…….. “Ahhhhh You Guilty”

The effects department deserves tremendous accolades for a splendid job.

They did their portion to acquire a 5 star film.

But that is a quandary we glimpse alot these days……………. films focus on the effects but ignore the stories and character development.

Is the General Public getting that dumbed down today -or- am I honest getting to feeble?

People are razzle-dazzled by the watch candy and impartial ignore stories?

Bottom Line: Other than Eva Mendes’ cleavage, this movie was handsome tiresome. The dialog was campy and the status was spy through. Seemed like a state up for a sequel; Designate to Studio: Don’t bother. If the director was going for a cheesy kind of droll book thing, he hit it lawful on. The pickle is that this is a sizable camouflage movie – go read the funny book if you are looking for cheese.
