Unlike Pabst, Arnold Franck has been a figure unexplainably forgotten at the moment of naming the great German filmmakers in this diamantine period, where the flame of the creativeness was directly proportional to the anguish and fears in the rest of the German citizenship.

Strongly influenced by the adventure novels of the Swiss Gustav Renker, who seemed to be possessed by the eternal conflict between the man and the nature, under the perspective of domain and constant struggle. The location photography was achieved on the snow-covered slopes of 12.000 foot high Piz Palü in the Bernina Alps of Switzerland.

The undeniable artistic and financial triumph and universal acclamation was instantaneous, specially in a historic transition where the epic seemed to be absolutely absent from all the imaginable stages; because while Brecht and Kurt Weil appealed to the cynicism and decadence state; Shostakovich and Prokoviev depicted the somber nightmare around the fist iron man and Picasso gave us his Guernica; the loyal Surrealism and Dadaism Cerberus such Chirico, Dali, Ernst and the Great Depression in North America are evident and notorious evidences the world certainly was not the best of the possible worlds.

It is easily evident the underground voltage tension and anticipation premonitory for the cloudy times to come through the avalanches, precipices and high risks to climb and conquer: As you may realize the metaphor could not be more obvious.

Go for this flawless film.

This late German silent is very much an action and mountain-climbing disaster film, of which genre “The Holy Mountain” is probably the best remembered, and in comparison “The White Hell of Pitz Palu” probably falls short in a few areas. Firstly, there is not much of a story or plot as it revolves around three main characters who have a climbing accident, get stuck and inevitably need to be rescued. Without a doubt the action and disaster scenes (climbing walls of ice, falls and avalanches) are expertly done, and the cinematography is close to breathtaking. In fact, watching many of the scenes – beautiful melting and dripping icicles, moody clouds, glistening walls of ice and simply the rugged snow-capped mountains made me wish it could be in colour in order to be absolutely perfect. From a visual viewpoint, “The White Hell of Pitz Palu” can’t be flawed, and I’m sure that anyone interested in mountaineering (or even photography of such mountains) will find this film exciting and interesting. But I’m not a mountain nor snow and ice person, and I usually prefer a good, more complex story and interesting characters, and for such viewers this film might feel rather slow and too much of the same thing. Although the orchestral musical score is new and suited to the scenes, it might not be to everyone’s taste and I found it rather heavy at times – but perhaps that was the intention after all, since ominous big mountains do create that kind of mood! Nevertheless, I can see plenty of merit in other aspects of this film such as the impressive visual, photographic qualities (the picture quality is very good, by the way) and also a glimpse into the lives of the characters such as Dr Krafft who lost his wife in an earlier mountain climbing adventure, and who thereafter `haunted’ the mountain, roaming around alone – until he meets a young honeymoon couple who change everything for him. The emphasis and focus in this film are not on the story or people, but rather on the physical mountain itself and above all, the forces of nature: wind, ice, storms and mere mortals staying alive in the ruthless elements. For more story and character angles with the same star (Leni Riefenstahl) and also directed by Arnold Franck, “The Holy Mountain” might still be the best of this `mountain film’ genre for the general viewer.

There are movies, there are directors, and then there are masterpieces and masterful directors. Encounters is a true masterpiece, especially taken within the body of Herzog’s work. This is a documentary first, much like Grizzly Man. Grizzly Man

The film in Antarctica itself is goregous. There is a subtle construction by Herzog that feels at first like a random documentary, but then builds over time to something much more than simply another film about “cute penguins”, or planet earth. There is a below the ice and above the ice aspect to this film, physically and about the people. I loved the music, it fits so perfectly with the rythmn. The filming is done extremely well.

Early in the film Herzog promises to not make another film about cute penguins, and he certainly delivers. Although there is a short sequence about a cute penguin, lost walking the wrong direction with such determination to his certain death.

The bonus features in this DVD package are incredible. Aside from the extra footage under the water and flying in a helicopter, there is a second disc. The second disc is almost worth the price of admission, Johnathan Demme (director of Silence of the Lambs) interviews Werner Herzog for an hour and a half. The conversation is incredible. Demme opens the conversation reading a letter from Roger Ebert to Herzog(this film is dedicated to Roger). Suffice it to say, there is nothing I can possibly add to the full conversation. You will have to watch this amazing exchange.

Herzog apparently is highly influenced by music and sound. There is a fairly significant thread through this film dealing with both. Within two days I have watched two films where sound played a very major role or was another character in the film. I can very highly recommend Fraulein. If you love film, I think you will find Fraulein equally engaging.

A man is dead, a woman was raped, and that’s all that can be definitely said. Somebody has committed murder, but nobody knows whodunnit.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Rashomon! Click Here

And that’s the basic plot of Akira Kurosawa’s “Rashomon,” a hauntingly pessimistic look at how the “truth” can be warped and changed by different people’s perspectives. It’s a magnificently eerie piece of work, filled with suspense and some really astounding acting — particularly from Toshiro Mifune as a laughing bandit.

At the Rashomon Gate in eleventh-century Japan, a man (Kichijiro Ueda) takes shelter with a priest (Minoru Chiaki) and a woodcutter (Takashi Shimura) during a rainstorm.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Rashomon! Click Here

The woodcutter is depressed and the priest is horrified, over a recent crime: the vicious bandit Tajômaru (Toshirô Mifune) was arrested for murdering a man named Takehiro (Masayuki Mori) and raping his wife Masako (Machiko Kyô). But when taken before the police, Tajômaru claims that he had his fun with the woman and killed her husband honorably in a fight.

But Masako begs to differ; she claims to be the victim first of the sadistic bandit, then of her cold-hearted husband, whom she says she stabbed. And when a medium calls up the spirit of Takehiro, he claims that Masako was unfaithful, asking the bandit to murder him, then spurned by Tajômaru. Her actions drove Takehiro to suicide. But the woodcutter himself claims to have seen the altercation — and his version is wildly different from them all.

During the filming of “Rashomon,” director Akira Kurosawa stated that the film is a reflection of life, which doesn’t always have clear meanings. The same could be said of truth. Questions are raised by the events of “Rashomon,” but given no easy answers — sometimes no answers at all (my biggest question was how Masako’s gown stays so white if she’s always weeping on the ground).

Are Kurosawa’s insights dark and depressing? In a fascinating, hypnotic way… yes. But while calmly pointing out the ability of human beings to lie even to themselves, he acknowledges that there’s good in there too. The illusions and innocence of the young priest are stripped away, yet the knowledge of how despicable people can be is tempered with the knowledge that “real” truth isn’t necessary to have goodness.

And Kurosawa’s directorial skill is no less striking — light and shadow whirl and dance in a frankly beautiful woodland setting, serving as a pretty backdrop for some very ugly acts. Kurosawa was even brave enough to touch on the unique idea of having the deceased testify. The spinechilling seance scene, starring a downright spooky, stark-faced Fumiko Honma, is a haunting classic scene.

And the masterful fight scenes deserve an extra shout-out — they reflect the person telling the story. Tajomaru’s are more stylized and choreographed, while the woodcutter just sees two freaked-out guys rolling and staggering with swords.

Toshirô Mifune chews the scenery with gusto as the barbarian bandit, especially with that crazy hyena laugh. Machiko Kyô initially seems to be overacting, until you see how unhinged her character has become, and Masayuki Mori does a pretty solid job for a guy tied to a tree. Minoru Chiaki and Takashi Shimura add an extra dimension as the innocent young priest and the tormented woodcutter.

Gloomy, thought-provoking and ultimately quite freaky, “Rashomon” still defies conventional filmmaking, brilliantly crafted and exceptionally directed. And that’s the truth.

This is a brilliantly told and acted film. And it leaves you thinking about what really happened, long after the film has ended. Kurosawa was a master and this film is a good reason why. I highly recommend it.

Unlike some people, I don’t review DVDs until I have actually watched them. This collection includes all 10 first seasons episodes of Crank Yankers, now with the curse words unbleeped. There are still a few bleeps, though; mostly the names of businesses. Like when Terrence calls Spago to make a reservation for Bill Cosby, “Spago” is bleeped. Oddly, though, on the CD version of that call, “Spago” was unbleeped. Watching the early episodes of Crank Yankers, it is interesting to observe some of the ways the show has “evolved” since then. Some of the puppets didn’t have quite the same look as they do now. The most notable difference is in Cammie, who was originally a blonde. Also, the show was more experimental during the first season. They tried things like having musical performances and “wise sayings” from Confucius. These bits were later dropped to concentrate entirely on the crank phone calls. The bonus materials on the DVD include a documentary about the making of the show, which is interesting, at least the first time you watch it. There are also two unaired calls, which are not as funny as the calls that actually did air. If you like this show, this DVD set is well produced and worth the money.

I love watching this show… it is entirely too comical. I am a sucker for a good laugh and this show definitely feeds that appetite. I can’t wait to collect all of the seasons, especially being that the show is cancelled. I’d have to say this is right up there with my other favorite animated comedies… South Park and King of the Hill.

I greatly enjoyed this rendition of Sir Walter Scott’s famous novel. Although there are significant plot deviations, the series is well acted with fantastic costumes and sets true to the period. The theatrical talent of every single actor in this series was simply outstanding and their great performances made the characters multi-dimensional in scope expressing all the nuances of human nature.

Steven Waddington plays a very strong role as Ivanhoe: champion of the absent Richard The Lion Hearted and fiancee of Rowena (Victoria Smurfit), his dear once betrothed who’s now promised by his father to Lord Athelstane. Ciarn Hinds (’Excalibur’, HBO’s ‘Rome’) gives probably the best performance as Sir Brian De Bois-Guilbert, the evil Templar knight whose hatred for Ivanhoe is as great as his passion for Rebecca (Susan Lynch), the Jewish healer. Lynch as Rebecca herself delivers one of the best performances as a woman whose forbidden passion for Ivanhoe saves the kingdom from the Templars and Prince John. There’s even a brief appearance by Sian Philips (I, Claudius) as Elenore D’Aquitaine, the queen mother who comes to arbitrate between her feuding sons John and Richard. Another outstanding performance was by Christopher Lee (Scaramanga in Bond’s ‘Man with the Golden Gun) who makes his first performance for the BBC in over 50 years. His role as the sadistic and zealous Grand Templar is convincing enough to give anyone the creeps.

The costumes and armor properly depict the armaments and fashion of the 12th century. The series is filmed on location in Wales showing a few of the many medieval churches, abbeys, manors, and castles that dot its landscape thereby adding to the film’s feeling of authenticity. The film is perhaps graphic in violence but this captures the brutality of medieval warfare quite well. Alltogether a great mini-series that has more positive qualities than shortcomings. The story is fluid and the acting is excellent. Definitely worth owning.

With all the other reviews listed here, I will be very brief.

After reading a few of these other reviews I’m not sure they watched the same movie I did! Boy, how people can see the same thing differently.

However, I watched this production when it first appeared on A&E back in the 90s and recorded it on VHS; later as the DVD was issued I bought that. Courses on medieval history caught my interest in college, and this movie is the best portrayal of that time I’ve ever seen, others may think otherwise, I do not.

All I can say is that if you like the time period you will miss a very well done production if you skip this one. It is one of my favorite films, only problem being like SHOGUN, you must alot several hours to seeing it.

Remember I said I would be brief: Go Out And Buy This One.

In 1985, I didn’t have a VCR. I loved “V” in 1983 and enjoyed “V The Final Battle” in 1984. I was really happy to hear that the struggles of Mike Donovan and the rest of the resistance were coming back as a series. At the time I worked at a local grocery store and, as fate would have it, I was usually scheduled when V the series was on. As a result I only caught a few episodes here and there when I had a day off. It was not as good as the two mini series but I thought it was entertaining. After a mere 19 episodes the show was cancelled and V was gone forever.

Since that time, I ran across friends who didn’t like the series. Whenever I found articles about “V”, the series follow up was always dismissed as crass exploitation of the franchise. Last week, WB released the series (possibly to test the wind for a new mini series) on DVD for the first time. Finally, after nearly two decades (can it be that long?) I have been able to finally discover what the series was all about. Here are my impressions:

There will be many SPOILERS so please do not read further if you want to be surprised.

Buy,Download, Or Stream V – The Complete Series! Click Here

1. This series isn’t bad. It is not as good as the two mini-series but it is entertaing in its own right. I also think that this show was innovative in the field of TV Science Fiction. Prior to “V”, Science Fiction was very episodic. Star Trek, Space: 1999, Logan’s Run, Planet of the Apes, Buck Rogers and to a certain extent, Battlestar Galactica all told self contained stories. The plot was resolved by the end of the hour. “V” The series was different in this respect. It had story arcs and continuing plot threads. Every episode ended in a cliff-hanger and it left you wanting more. In this aspect, it has a modern flavor. Like Babylon 5, StarGate SG 1 and Season 3 Enterprise, it tells a big story over a run of several episodes.

2. People could die on “V”. For most TV shows, you know that the heroes will make it in the end. Not on “V”. Over the 19 episodes, long-standing characters like Dr. Maxwell and Elias Taylor buy the farm surprisingly abruptly. This raised the stakes dramatically and kept the viewer involved in the narrative.

3. The cast was great. Marc Singer was perfectly cast as heroic Mike Donovan. Micheal Ironside ruled as perfect tough guy Ham. Jane Badler was very memorable as Uber-B**ch, Diana. June Chadwick was suitably catty as Diana’a rival Lydia. Duncan Rehgar was fantastic as Charles, the leader’s envoy. His fight with Donovan in “The Hero” is classic. He was a great villain and it is a great shock when he is killed after a mere 4 episodes.

4. There is a sense that this is merely a peek at a global war with the Visitors. For the first 12 episodes or so, The Freedom Network newscaster, Howard K. Smith ( A real journalist by the way) reads the headlines on the state of the war. We learn that the Visitors are sweeping through Spain and so forth. This makes us understand that The resistance in LA is only one story in this global conflict. It really gives the story a certain gravitas.

5. The stories are often action adventure tales that are on par with anything that was on the air in the mid 1980s. Unfortunately, the sociological aspects that made the first mini series so memorable are ignored completely. The show, evan though it is watered down, is entertaining in its own right.

There are some things that are unfortunatle about this show:

1. All the SFX are recycled from the two mini series. (I think one new shot was filmed for “The Dreadknot.”) Even entire sequences are lifted from the minis. Remember when Donovan is on horseback and is being chased by a skyfighter? Well, the entire sequesce appears again in “The Champion.” After a while, it becomes really grating to see the same shots over and over. I know that SFX on TV was really expensive back then but WB should have spent some money on new shots.

2. As the series goes on, it is clear that there was less and less money bugeted for each episode. The first episode, “Liberation Day” has an outdoor crowd scene with hundreds of extras. By the last episode, we only have the main characters walking around on the standing sets. By the end, the production valules of the show looked rather thread bare.

3. The producers decided to exploit the alien lizards by showing them without their Human masks. This was a mistake. The people who created the lizard makeups were not as artful as John Chambers. As a result the lizard appliances were very stiff and immoble. By showing the Lizards in their natural state too often, it undermined their credibility as a frightening threat. The full face lizards were about as scary and convincing as a halloween slip on mask. It became a bit silly.

4. I hate cliffhangers that are unresolved. I can’t understand why they would create a cliffhanger for a show that was doing poorly in the ratings. It is really unfair to viewers who watched every episode.

5. The Star Child. One of the big weaknesses of “The Final Battle” was the ending where Elizabeth gets all glowy like Decker in Star Trek the Motion Picture. Elizabeth uses some kind of super powers that come out of nowhere and saves the day. In the series, the Star Child goes through some type of metamorphosis and comes out of a cacoon as a 17 year old love interest. Elizabeth’s powers become a crutch that the writers could use to solve any problems that face the main characters. This undermines the drama of the series and cheapens the series. The powers were kind of kooky. The Star Child could levitate objects and people, mimic voices, had a photographic memory, raise the dead etc. She could do whatever the plot required. It was strange that they spent so much time on her character. I guess, as a writer with a deadline, she was really handy to have around.

Well, thats my take on the series. I reccomend that if you like V, chances are you will like the series. It is a more cartoony version of Kenneth Johnson’s creation but is worthy as entertainment and a nostalgic trip back to the 80s.

V: The Series was a very odd television show. On one hand, The Final Battle ended and it was a very satisfying end to the 10 hour miniseries. But this weekly series did actually made some interesting points to the ongoing story but it was soon abandoned as well as most of the originally cohesive cast.

The series starts out about a year later and we soon see that Diana and the fleet wants revenge over the red dust. As we soon find out, the dust is harmful to people and really can’t be used anymore and the visitors patiently wait for the dusts effects to cease. This sets up many good episodes about the visitors regaining control. However, gone is the Nazi allegory and it therefore goes for power and corruption plots all the while the resistance is back to fight the Visitor’s once again.

I found myself really enjoying the first several episodes. The acting was solid, Diana was as nasty as ever and they took chances and killed off regulars and that added to the dramatic impact. The Nathan Bates subplots were actually interesting and you really began to hate Mr. Chang. Michael Ironside was also very fun to watch. And the “soap opera” of “Charles and Diana” was also very entertaining.

However, as it went on toward midseason, the series started falling apart by the seams. The idea of the resistance always winning and episodes ending with showing Diana dejected began to run thin. They just beat us over the head with Willy and his butchering of the English language, which is a shame, because he was such a charming character and performed well. The special effects were reused over and over again. The campiness factor of eating rodents was way over done and all originality that they could have tried for just went away.

Then, when we get the new credit sequence, the show pretty much became a chore to sit through. Gone are some of the better and well acted characters. And the plots became paper thin and were filled with “filler” scenes where you just feel they were making it up as they went along. Add in “romantic flashback” scenes, illogical situations, cheesy actors making guest appearances and you can see that because of the daring chances they took with the series at the first, they were left with pretty much nothing. The acting also suffered, especially Faye Grant, in which she gave very uneven performances toward the end, especially in the dreadful episode “The Secret Underground”. That episode was the worst in the entire run. The show ended with the Episode “The Return” and it actually felt like it would redeem itself but by then, it was too late. There was no saving “V.”

This DVD collection of V: The Series is no frills. They put episodes on both sides of the DVD, making this a 3 DVD collection. Box is nice looking with good shots of some of the cast but nothing extra comes with it. The picture and sound quality of this collection is about as good as you would expect from an early 80’s show.

I had a good time with this series and it was fun to see how it played out up to the unresolved cliffhanger. If you are a V fan, this is still a must have.

It’s fairly well known that the Movies never really fit in the Dragon Ball Z universe. Granted one or two of them did so (Bardock, History of Trunks, Dead Zone) most of them were more of an “Elseworlds” tale. Wrath of the Dragon fits in the tradtion of the “Elseworlds” tales, but also in a small way can fit into the DBZ universe itself.

Wrath of the Dragon is about a sorceror who tricks the Z fighters to release a legendary hero Tapion using the Dragon Balls. The problem with this is that Tapion has half of an evil demon Hirudegarn. As Tapion struggles with the demon, the other half of it starts creating chaos on earth. Eventually the Z fighters learn the truth and attempt to destroy the beast.

This is one of the best Z movies, and is also one of the longest. The inner struggle with Tapion is realy well done, and the friendship he gains with Trunks is memorable. This story is also quite a bit of a Trunks story as a few revelations are also revealed during this tale. Overall this is one of the best Z movies, and is a great send off to a legendary series

One of a handful of stories written by Toei Animation worthy of the Toriyama original story. The film moves quick, the action is fun an intense, the characters are in full development (even the new addtions) and Dragon Fist! is just a kickass looking attack. One interesting point of the story is how it moves from one character to the next, being passed along, so it isn’t focusing on a singular character. Something the other movies didn’t really do. Because of this, it feels more like an American animated film (except in art style, naturally) and this brings my single complaint; It isn’t long enough. The story could’ve been even better if played around with me. But I suppose Japanese children and teens don’t have high enough attention spans… ?

Some of the best work in a genre comes when it satirizes itself. Anime is notorious for many things, dramatic (and over-dramatic) plots, silliness in the face of difficulty, haphazard development, even an excess of pompousness, but very rarely is it self aware. For the most allotment anime is written for the fans of anime, not the fans of the fans of anime, e.g., the people who make it. FLCL is a celebration of the comical aspects of anime – and a intellectual success.

FLCL, however, undertakes to be a well (and outrageously) written satire on the entire alien girl sub-genre as well as a perfect example of its type. These are the stories where an unsuspecting adolescent boy suddenly finds himself inextricable entwined with a pretty alien (or robot) woman, who overturns his life, continually embarrasses him, and loves him without any regard to his distinct flaws. In a device she (in this case Haruko) is the perfect foil for the insecurities of a young man – forward where he is fearful, and forgiving wwhen he makes mistakes.

Poor Naota not only has his older brother’s girlfriend (Mamimi) making overtures to him, but Haruka the status girl appears, runs him over with her Vespa, and then moves into his household as a maid. Surrounded by delicate older women, it would be easy to envy Naoto if it weren’t for the robots that commence growing out of his head. And Haruka’s habit of swatting him with a bass guitar. And Mamimi’s fascination with fire.

Buy,Download, Or Stream FLCL! Click Here

No, it’s not really supposed to form any sense. Instead, indulge in it for the ribald puns and dialog, the countless ‘in-joke’ references to Japanese common culture, and its irreverent experimentation with its media. The collaboration team that created FLCL (or Fooly Cooly) is collected of Gainax’s best artists and writers. The level of professionalism is what makes all the crazy parts fit together, leaving the viewer staring wide-eyed at the camouflage waiting for the next impossible setup,

While the first two episodes beget nothing so blatant as to be offensive, there is a high level of fan service that runs throughout the series. Gainax has chosen not to pursue a rating for FLCL. Most teenagers should be traditional enough to handle the innuendo, though. And, honestly, I haven’t seen a film that was this considerable pure fun in quite a while.

FLCL is simply the best anime ever. A 6 episode series, it’s less than 3 hours long in total, shorter than many movies. I’ve read a review stating that watching FLCL is like falling in care for for the first time again, and it’s a gigantic intention to set aside it. In summary, FLCL is a fable about a 11 (I hold, may be 10) year dilapidated boy named Naota and his brother’s exclusive girlfried named Mamimi, and what happens when they meet a curious 20-year archaic woman named Haruhara Haruko who claims to be an alien.

The first 2 episodes will confuse you, but will leave you sharp. Episode 3 is the weakest, and may arrangement some people away. Episodes 4-6 are simply fantastic, as we bag out impartial what’s up with Haruko and why it matters. The climax in episode 6 is simply graceful, fine, though-provoking.

Buy,Download, Or Stream FLCL! Click Here

As many people have said, FLCL is very confusing. The confusion is not an especially frustrating type, because we understand what happened, but not always why. But in the slay, it’s easy to contemplate that it’s more of a coming-of-age account than anything. Some have raved about the soundtrack, and it indeed is spacious, the best in anime. Most of the background music are rock songs by a band called The Pillows, and they are simply perfect for every scene they are in. Every episode but ep3 has at least 2 scenes when I was simply in terror of how well music could fit with the scene.

When I judge of FLCL, I contemplate of it more as a glowing share of art that conventional anime as its medium, not the other arrangement around. FLCL doesn’t really fit in any of the classic genres of anime, although the residence may. I help anyone and everyone to leer it in its tubby.

If you haven’t watched any of the Hermie movies, I suggest you check out a few of them. They are very fascinating. The voices of Don Knotts and Tim Conway are genuine as Hermie and Wormie. I adore the broad bug eyes and the animation is mountainous.

This is a fun DVD with a grand message. My kids learn that everyone is different, some more than others, and we should try to embrace those differences, because that’s what makes people special and gripping!

We really cherish the bug box that came free with the DVD. It’s so cute and high quality, and it gave us an activity that lasted all afternoon! We were out collecting bugs to survey…and then we returned them to their homes after we were done! Very wintry.

I can’t even rationalize giving it 1 star because that implies it got 1/5 of “something” while I can’t discover that it did anything accurate, except place up a lucrative platform to begin millions of “fanfare” junk to market to kids i.e. numerous video games, coloring books, clothing, pc software, and soundtracks all appear when typing in Shark Story on amazon’s search.

After watching it with my distinguished other, we pondered off and on for about 24 hours trying desperately to contemplate of a worse movie that we have seen. Unruffled none have advance to mind.

This movie plays off of every stereotype I can mediate of. The “icy” shadowy guy who raps and dances, the white guy that can’t dance or doesn’t know any frosty hand shakes, the jamaicans that are unimaginative, the italians that are mobsters, the white chick that is meek….and finally the unintended, me, the viewer that wants to puke. If my kids were subjected to this I would have a lot of explaining to do to dispell all the stereotypes that are maximized in this movie, ok that trivializes what my role of a parent would be if they were subjected to this…if I had taken any kid to glimpse this movie I would have left early, which isn’t an easy task with kids.

This movie shamelessly plugged so many consumer products I felt like I was sitting through one substantial commercial, Gup instead of Gap, Guppy Kremes instead of Kristpy Kremes, Coral Cola instead of Coka Cola to name a few mock products which are certain advertisements for the true product due to the likeness in trademarks. Plan to target that young market, corporate whores!

Also the true of ths fable seemed to be if you screw up about a hundred times, some chick will succor you out, then you can screw over that chick about a hundred times, lie to the entire community, and in the kill everyone will like you any map and the chick will advance relieve to you if you occupy her balloons. Obedient MESSAGE FOR ALL!!

Oscar (Smith) the fish leads a normal life. He is unbiased an average guy working at the Whale Wash. One day, he wanders into shark territory and is chased by Frankie. Unfortunately for Frankie, the scurry ends in his death, not at Oscar’s hands, but by pure accident. Oscar sees as an opportunity to “be someone”, and swiftly takes the credit. The fish world begins to call him the “Shark Slayer”, two female fish inaugurate to present their interest, and the shark godfather (DeNiro) makes it his business to fetch the murderer of Frankie…his son.

“Shark Account” is yet another curious movie that will appeal to both children and adults. The contrast is, this time it almost seems made for adults first and kids second. The most determined references are to “The Godfather” and “Goodfellas”, two movies that no kids should have seen. Also, advertising placement has urge amok in this movie. Every plot you turn in the city, there are determined “fallacious ads” for trusty products that is very distracting. Most everything in this movie is overkill, in fact.

The say talents are credible and the animation is beneficial, although I found Oscar to scrutinize kind of creepy with his reach human-looking face. “Shark Anecdote” also is nothing like “Finding Nemo”, which is both favorable and dreadful. Helpful, because it is not retreading material that is not too former yet. Awful, because “Finding Nemo” was so mighty better. “Shark Fable” is a decent movie that will be enjoyed by most, and I did laugh a number of times while viewing it, but my advice is to wait for DVD.
